But it's kinda understandable, since Naruto is a really famous manga and it was presented as the last movie ... 

 

I'm not surprised that SP earned so much money with this movie...but we all know that the next movie will fail,since the 3/4 of fans who actually watched the movie hated it and won't see the next one

Everyone...it's clear that THE LAST will make more money at the box office then RTN, but take into consideration the marketing merchandise that probably is not selling very good (being exclusively about hinata), and for which they invested a good amount of money. Also, i don't think RTN had such a big advertising campaign like THE LAST did, so more money invested in this department also, that need to be recovered.

So in your opinion, if they had advertised the contents of the movie honestly since day 1 and had offered refunds to people wanting to take their money back, how much of a percentage drop do you think there would be in turnout for the movie?

We haven't won yet. Kishi and SP will likely try some last resort to win back the fans to their side

Or they may accept their losses, and just try to bring in newer and younger fans with Bolt... which is what I think they are going to try to do.

 

To bring back the rest of us they'd need to make an alternate reality where NS and many other things happened, with Kishimoto saying take your pick to what ending you want.... but that would piss off NH/SS. He's really dug himself in a big hole at this point.

At least half. If they had advertised honestly, I doubt many people would want to go watch a purely NH shoujo film.

Ahh I just watched the trailer. Migi's so cute xD Looks like the first movie covers the first 11 episodes of the anime.

Hmm maybe 50% is too extreme xD but imo, a portion of neutral fans was probably hoping the movie will be more than just a shoujo NH movie. Didn't a lot of Japanese fans believe that it was also an IT? Meh
