That is absolutely insane. 47 billion yen is roughly the equivalent to $390,000,000. Even if this movie exceeded all expectations at the box office, there is absolute no way that it could garner that much revenue in just one damn week. 

 

well the numbers say 34,000+ I'm assuming those were paid tickets and multiplied that by 1,400 yen

@Luffy, I agree. It's really sickening when I think about how a forced relationship was made between Sakura and Hinata, just so Sakura could be nH's cheerleader. ( ) I mean seriously, Hinata only refers to Sakura as 'Sakura-san', while Ino and Sakura have nicknames for each other to show how close they are, but because Ino is not SP's little princess, her bond with Sakura is trashed, just like Sasuke's with Naruto's.

 

P.s. Is there a clip where Sakura is healing Naruto before passing out?

It's numbering in the tens of thousands per day. How much does each ticket cost? I'm assuming they can cost anywhere between 1400 to 1800 Yen a piece.

It doesn't make sense. Either we're misreading the figures or the site made an error. For this to be possible it would mean that The Last would have needed to garner over twenty times the amount of revenue that Road to Ninja made in its entire life span.

Really? I might have overestimated the pricing. My mind was thinking of the high-end movie theatres in Tokyo when giving that hypothetical range.

Presumably, but there's been some debate as to how realistic those figures are here. It wouldn't exceed Road to Ninja by over 20 times though in one week though. I don't even think there are enough fans in Japan to make that possible.

I find that highly unlikely... I don't even thinking that highest grossing Pixar film has made more then a quarter of a billion in one week. That's a crazy number it can't be right.

I find that highly unlikely... I don't even thinking that highest grossing Pixar film has made more then a quarter of a billion in one week. That's a crazy number it can't be right.

 
Well like I said, that was probably just a miscalculation on our part. I was using the potential pricing rates of the high-end movie theatres in Tokyo as a reference point.

Now that sounds like a well-grounded figure. Although I doubt it's so low. If true, The Last would score as being the lowest earning Naruto movie in the franchise at approximately $4 million.

Much more realistic. 1.48 billion equals out to about $12,000,000. I think Road to Ninja made $18,000,000 so that record might not have been broken yet.

I've read this: There are also many shops in places like Shinjuku, Ebisu, etc that sell movie tickets at a discount. The other day, I bought the 'Pirates of the Carribean' ticket for 1300 Yen which is a 500 Yen discount (price at the theatre is 1800 yen). This is a new release. I saw other discount movie tickets for about 900 Yen - I forget the name, but some sort of cartoon like show. 

Sometimes at the movie theatre, they will pass out flyers containing a coupon good for 200 yen off.
