From what I recall reading it over a decade ago. Rudy introduction was she was inspired by Bulma introduction. 'She was a girl going around looking for O-Parts for I think money she may have been looking for the legendary O-Part Satan, while she could somewhat handle herself. However, she was still a girl so she decides to partner up with this strange yet strong boy as her bodyguard.' I think she also discovered Jio was Satan due to being attack by some thug but decided to stick by him because she felt they were friends by that point. Causing Jio to fall for her.
 
Sakura was introduced as, 'the pretty girl Naruto had a crush on that had a crush on another boy. Then he complimented her while transformed as Sasuke causing her to fall in love with Sasuke. Finally due to that misunderstanding she insulted orphans in front of Sasuke, causing Sasuke to dislike her, causing her to realize she was a brat, and she should try to improve herself by being nicer to Naruto.' Also she was at least competent as she was able to pass the exam Naruto failed and became a member on his team to balance out his poor stats.
 
The problem from what I recall with 666 Satan was that while it had some good moments it was too derivative. I also don't recall any of its arcs really being that well written or memorable compared to say the Wave arc or the chunin exam in Naruto.

It was good but there wasn't as detailed a story as naruto's perhaps less worldbuilding. If you read the rosario+vampire manga it felt a bit like that as though something is missing

The problem with that manga is that it was a light hearted harem in a school of monster girls. It wasn't suppose to have that much world building. But, then they beat everyone that was a threat at the school by the end of Part 1. So in part two, they had to go deeper which the story wasn't really made for. It also clear that they didn't really know what to do with the main girl's two personalities. "Ok so her mother put a charm on her to seal her powers so is the Inner girl the real girl or just her suppressed powers? Cause it seems like the Outer personality is the love interest. So is the true girl always going to just have to stay suppressed?" Which they went with 'Inner was the real personality, the outer was shell that was a copy of her mother, and by the end inner just becomes exactly like the outer personality...somehow.'

 

666 Satan problem was he didn't have someone to help filter his idea to make them more original. So they were too derivative of his inspirations.  

 

With Naruto Kishimoto had a person help him, but then they directed the story too much. So kishi never really explored or expanded on ideas because he was too use to just dealing with the manga arc by arc.

 

 

The only justification for this is based on a retconning, asspull movie. Also, so what if Hinata is "Stronger"? (I use quotations because I personally find it to be wishful thinking on the part of her stans.) she never does anything useful   Sakura is touted as the useless one but mythical byakugan princessu is the one with the mightiest power but does the least with it.  

And I've stated in the past,  it's a power-up that she never utilizes outside of this movie nor is it ever indicated in Boruto that she even still has it.  It's a one-time deal and even her sycophants over at Pierrot don't seem eager to change that. Especially now they're finally accepted that Hinata isn't profitable.

It wasn't the first time SP came up with a power for Hinata that Kishimoto rejected once he saw it. Remember the chakra net wall thing she made in the great filler arc so they could use that as an excuse to drawn her naked dancing over a lake?

 

Also they did try to make the Last tied to Boruto by giving Bolt his own mangekyo equivalent for the byakugan. Which the manga has ignored and just gave him a byakugan due to the karma seal. 

 

A big problem with how they try to power up Hinata and why it keeps getting rejected is they always give her overpowered abilities. When Neji is suppose to embody the ideal of how the hyuuga fight. Precise strikes to the chakra point with a few defensive abilities.

 

I half suspect that the reason Hinata was thrown in stasis alongside Naruto was both to prevent the anime team from complaining the Hinata should be totally immune to it, and to stop them from making more filler of her.

I really enjoyed 666 satan but i never was thinking it was inspired by too much. I did notice him and his twin had some similarities with their stories though. Blazer drive was also good but it turned out even shorter than 666 satan and a game was based on the manga (i think the game expanded some things compared to the manga). Seishi was also helping edit naruto. With rosario+vampire the author admitted he wasn't experienced with making a harem manga and if you read the manga basically the split personality idea was changed when the outer persona died and the inner persona became a fusion of both personas. It wasn't the best explanation or story but there was some buildup and explanation of how inner moka was becoming more similar to the outer moka.
I don't think kishimoto planned for hinata to be a ninja who fought since sakura and her were based on some characters in dragon quest (at least I'm mostly convinced) and maam was far more of a capable fighter compared to merle who was more of a sensory type (like hinata when she was introduced)

Lets say for all intents and purposes that she DOES have it...makes her an even worse mom for telling her kids to go protect their dad in a fight when she could have done that kitten herself or that she lets herself get sucked up with her hubby instead of fighting. 

And just to clarify (and I've said this before.) I don't have an issue with Hinata not being a fighter, I think its clear that being a Ninja wasn't really what she wanted to be. Its a path that was chosen for her from birth and she tried to make the best of it partly because she had to and partly because loser Naruto inspired the loser in her. Stay at home moms are great. What I take issue with is people trying to swim in both pools. "SAKURA IS USELESS AND HINATA IS SUPER POWERFUL." There is hardly (No) justification for either claim.

I have legitimately blocked 90% of filler from my mind. Easy to do since I didn't watch it...but I do vaguely remember that----it was back when they were genin. she was like still 13   

I think its more likely they wanted Hinata to be the perfect waifu and that means going to purgatory with her husband. Besides, imagine how miserable she'd be without him

I'm in the same boat. While not really wanting to read it, I'm still curious to see how this will help (or not) to boost the sales. I would guess that it might help a little but to be a really a really big boost that could ''save the day''.... I doubt it. Like always, let's wait and see.

 

First thing I'm gonna say is, the designs of the new characters feel like teens that wanna start a kpop group, 90's style lol   

 

And Boruto should be now called an Uchiha

I saw the new previews for Naruto and I wanna flip a table. The designs are horrendous. Baruto looks like an edgy pirate and Sarada looks like the designated bad girl in a Kpop band. Barutos' sister actually looks like a 90's kid. Shikamaru is apparently the new Hokage now which makes sense I guess, however imo it would have been more meaningful for Sakura to have been because she actually cared about Naruto's dream to be Hokage. But noooooooo she's left forgotten as always and Team 7 supposed bond is non existent in the Baruto universe. Which takes away that special magic from those who grew up with Naruto.
I am curious how the time skip is gonna go, but I half expect the story to be mediocre at best.

I was gonna say she still looked like a child in the face but in connection with me saying she still dressed like a hooker--it made me feel icky. (The person who should feel the ickiest is ikemoto though. What a creep.)

Ikemoto is Kishimoto volunteer replacement that was his old assistant that did the backgrounds. He is the artist/mangaka of Boruto.

Making Shikamaru the Hokage instead of Konohamaru is probably because Konohamaru isn't really important in the overall story and Ikemoto (Kishimoto as well, previously), didn't bother developping him better. Shikamaru was probably the logical choice because he worked for years close enough to know the drift about the job plus, he's smart so yeah.....

 

Personnally, I find this decision pretty stupid, while Shikamaru is smart, being a real leader isn't just about that but again, I didn't follow anything regarding Boruto so I can't say much about him. Ikemoto should have made at least Kakashi come back, I don't approuve Kakashi as Hokage in the first place but making Shikamaru the Hokage feels like an insult to Naruto.
