What was going to be Sasuke's destiny? Was he asexual and aromantic? Was he just asexual but gay? Was going to be SK? Was going to end up with Hinata? With Ino? With Kakashi? Threesome with Jugo and Suigetsu? or he was going to be alone the rest of his life? WHAT?

I believe he was going to be alone. He doesn't need a pairing, this isn't a shoujo. It's rare for there to be several pairings other than the main one in a shounen.

Argh, your "Sakura should get bashed" rants are starting to get annoying. Most people in Japan don't care about pairings. No one will bash Naruto just because he chose Hinata or Bash Sakura/Karin just because she chose Sasuke. They are not angry at Sakura for forgiving Sasuke like you want them to be. If they were, they wouldn't have read a manga where the main character is following Sasuke's butt for 15 years. So get over it. Naruto and Sakura chasing Sasuke isn't degrading in THEIR eyes. This is what this manga was mostly about in the first place and you should have known that. So stop forcing your logic on them. The reason they are angry is because of the movie. As I explained, he was willing to abandon his friend in danger because he was dumped, he disregarded all the bonds that aren't named Hinata, and he became a hypocrite. THAT is what made them angry. Why don't you talk about THAT instead of shifting the blame on other characters? Sakura never did those things. So get over it because they aren't going to bash her. At least not the guys in the that thread.

However one thing I agree is that the fans should get angry at Kishi, and NOT at the characters who were being forced to become OOC.

 

That's actually an interesting angle, that maybe you can explain to me. Now although I agree with what you said about we should bash Kishimoto and not just his creations there is something that bothers me.

 

Sasuke.

 

For me the man is little more then Old Yeller. By that I mean like Old Yeller who was bit by rabies and in the end had to be put down because he was dangerous to the family, Sasuke was bit by revenge. And much like rabies it screwed up his mind to the point where he was a threat not only to the villiage but the entire world. Now for me with my western eyes I know this story, and have seen many others like it. When someone becomes that dangerous they are put down for the greater good. It's a part of growing up, as was the entire theme of Old Yeller.

 

Yet it's obvious that in Japan they see no problem with Sasuke becoming a homicidal maniac who tried to take over the world for his own selfish desires. In fact they expected him to be saved, and all his sins forgiven. And as some predicted (and which I was dumbfoudned by) not only is he not punished, but he is REWARDED. Now Japan doesn't have a tradition of "the prodigal son", so its no notion like that. So why are they not only easy to forgive him, but are happily cheering for him to not be punished at all? This theme doesn't make sense to me... and honestly is a bit sickening if I'm blunt. There are things a persons soul can't come back from, and even if you don't kill them they shouldn't get off scott free. So maybe you can explain what I am missing? Cause honestly in my eyes it's the weakest theme of this story.

 

I truly once believed that this tale was going to be a story about growing up. I believed that eventually Naruto and Sakura would have to face the reality of what Sasuke had become... and for the greater good of the community they would have to address that... which is what I was expecting more when the rookies meet and decided that they were going to kill Sasuke... and yet... that's not the story that was told. What was told I'd simply call bad, and unfulfilled. It's obvious that most fans in Japan don't see it that way though. I don't see how this is a positive story. Can you explain it to me?

 

The only way it makes sense story wise to me is if Sasuke did all that evil... well still having a decent heart... which means he's not a monster who was poisoned by a drive for revenge... but is instead some Machiavellian character who freely choose to hurt people for his own selfish wants. Which frankly is worse, then him just being driven mad by a want for revenge.

 

Now I've always said that here in the west Sasuke is only liked cause he is "the hot guy". Why is he and his story so beloved in Japan? Is it equally as shallow? I just don't understand it.

I believe he was going to be alone. He doesn't need a pairing, this isn't a shoujo. It's rare for there to be several pairings other than the main one in a shounen.

It's true that that's what usually happens, but I won't take it as rule since it would be a falacy. The sample space doesn't cover everything up. The ending we had is an example, lol. Anyway, I believe he had chances to end up with someone because how Kishimoto seemed to be fond of Sasuke. Even if I wanted Sasuke to end up alone, I was feeling that Kishimoto wouldn't let that happen. So, I was wondering if that happened, it would be a random girl without a face or what?

Kotaku is known within the gaming community as being more corrupt that anyone else, you'd need your head examined to even think that they are a reliable sourse. A few months back there was a huge scandal in the gaming community, that was refered to gamergate, it was found out one of the games that was given allot of positive press, two of the Kotaku employees had an indimate relationship with the female developer of said game. It put the entire gaming industry journalism under scrutiny and Kotaku has pretty much been blacklisted by many gamers as a no go site, as the little reputation they had was non existant by then.

 

The Kotaku review reads like a Hinata fanboy want anyway, when the review tells us the background charactors stay in the background like they should, you should know it's corrupt, specially when the Main heroine in the movie is not even a side-kick, infact she's lower teir 2, We have Naruto, Team Seven, Tsunade and Obito as top tier, then second teir we had Team Asuma at the top end, then Gaara and then Hinata is at the bottom end.

 

The movie was a bought review, and it was so badly covered up that it's not even funny.

 

Really? Well I don't know anything about Kotaku or their goings-on so I can't judge their behaviour on that account. They just appeared to have more of a professional "vibe" compared to the usual angry nerd rants flooding YJ and tumblr. 

 

Even if the reviews were bribed, I think to a certain extent they were indeed a reflection of how the website may have felt towards the movie. From what you've mentioned regarding Kotaku's employees' past dealings, they seem like the kind of people who would factor the prominence of whatever character they favour in their review without considering the negative implications it has on the integrity of the original manga or the author. Why else would they indulge Pierrot's wishes in the first place if they didn't agree with the movie's premise? Although if we're going to hold Kotaku to these standards, shouldn't 2chan be scrutinised also? I hear they have an ambiguous reputation as well. 

 

There's been some information circulating about how the general opinions of this movie aren't being properly reflected in the tangents made by some disgruntled NS fans. They claim that the theatres were indeed full and that many people are fully supportive of the film and Hinata. Of course, we should be questioning this notion, but I am starting to wonder if there's any truth to what they said about the movie being a success beyond the confines of NS/Sakura-centric circles.

Fair enough, samples don't become proof. He did have a chance but so did every other characters even Akamaru because the possibility is not zero. That and Kishi being fond of Sasuke does not indicate that he would have had a pairing. I believe the fact that Kishi was fond of him isn't an enough factor to make it likely that Sasuke ends up being paired when he clearly had shown no interests in girls. Besides I don't understand the logic that Kishi's fondness for Sasuke is going to make the possibility of Sasuke ending up with a girl higher. I don't see the relation.

My point isn't calling for bashing of Sakura. I am simply saying it's problematic to bash Naruto while excusing problems with Sakura. I am asking for consistent logic.

You could have left it at "The 2ch should stop bashing Naruto" instead you added "they should bash Sakura". That makes you a hater especially when you're talking as if Sakura's a criminal for her romantic choice.

I feel bad for how they dumped Sakura away and made her be the leftovers of an abuser. How they turned the crafree and happy naruto into a scumbag all for the sake of the hinata.

 

I wonder what do the japanese think of taka dissapearing? We are getting that interview from kishi right? In one of the last polls, suigetsu was above the 30. So I guess that is something considering he is a character that was never given a shot. :(

I figured this out when at E3 they where interviewing Ubisoft on their New AC demo, the interviewer was basically pointing all the flaws and kitten that ubisoft had with this new game "including the creativity loss and lack of direction" the guy from ubisoft just laughed like kishi laughs in his interviews.

Some friends cannot believe that he never checked the internet for review or feedback. They are always depending on their popularity polls from the people of japan that bother on sending their questionaries back or something.
They should actually check the internet because you know, this is the 21st century.

To be honest, both deserve to be bashed. Naruto for obvious reasons, and Sakura for going back on her development and having the nerve to bring up rivalries and love given her history.

With that said, neither one deserve to be bashed. Because both you, me, and the people at 2ch probably know that the Naruto and Sakura that appear at the end of the series are not the same as the Naruto and Sakura that appeared prior. They are two completely different entities. Those two deplorable excuses for Naruto and Sakura are not the real Naruto and Sakura. Nothing more to be said, really.

Hell, if you're gonna bash anyone, That dumbass Kishi should be public enemy 1-100.

Oh, btw, I'm quoting you, but I'm only speaking in general, I'm not trying to argue with or at you.
