Why shouldn't they? Nothing confirmed ns this chapter. A lot of people think that Naruto doesn't even love Sakura at this point of manga. They are just friends. Go figure...

Guys I think Naruto meant it in a way that, Naruto still thinks that Sakura will pick Sasuke since he's back. Not because he's "settling" not because he's "confused or "picking hinata" none of that. Let's be reasonable here guys. That's his day one goal, become hokage, get Sakua. Easy as that

True he's not too sure on how he will talk to Sakura about loving Sasuke or something because he thinks Sakura still loves Sasuke

 

 

The problem is that he has already chosen for Sakura: you love Sasuke, you will be with him, I can't be with you because of that blah-bla-bla...

Sasuke doesn't even care if he ends up being alone he could end up with Karin if he wanted to.

Yep, men are unreliable thick creatures in narutoverse, even the main hero. They even can't find the strength to confess. Women do all the work.

well if it says find that means they supposed to be together. And since it seemed like Sakura-Chan was within hearing distance he couldn't say it was her especially if still isn't sure about everything because I think he called her his girlfriend before Sasuke was actually on the battlefield. Now that Sasuke is there it's natural he will have his doubts especially after how he acted in chapter 632. But once he finds out what she did for him to keep him alive that will change everything. It sounded to me like he wanted to say her, but couldn't because he's not sure if she feels the same. And also it sounds like it will get touched on more next chapter. But that's my opinion:

Well Naruto is not sure what to tell Sakura yet but maybe he will have the right words for her.

Sakura need to choose to love sasuke(who will never love her back) or accept naruto confession (NS canon).
Naruto need to make confession in order for sakura to make the decision.

Sakura needs to go MIA or nukenin. Then Naruto will be more willing to confront his own heart. It worked with Sasuke like a charm.
