Shouldn't they hate Kishi for retconning his character ? honestly Naruto doesn't deserve this when his character has been butchered beyond belief just to please Hinata. Not only that his dreams and desires have all been set aside so Hinata can get what she wants and he has been made a moron who can't see the difference between romantic love and love for ramen.

I just can't hate Naruto because Kishi and SP destroyed him, it's not his fault if the writer is a hack.

See I never really hate fictional characters, I always blame the main cause, the author

Okay the only one hope for Kishi to make another movie and have decent profits is to completely exclude NH and the family, feature on team seven (excluding the "worst scumbag") and make it an action story. Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru action will probably sell. It's awkward but at this point he NEEDS to replace Naruto with Shikamaru and make a new team seven and give them some smart strategic battles. No Boruto, No Naruto and No Hinata of course.

Does anyone have any ideas how he can make a new movie and still gain some profit at this point?

 

Honestly the only way they can get out of this is someone needs to be sacrificed, Obviously it can't be Kishi because it's his manga, but someone at SP or SWJ would need to take a hit and get first for the incident, That person would need to publically apoligise for forcing the issue, and pressuring Kishi in changing his pairing...and after that, Kishi would need to rewrite the last two chapters, declare the movie to be non canon, delay the Next Gen project by atleast another six months, and the movie by another a year then it might get them out of the situation. It's hoe businesses work, when something goes wrong, a sacrifice is made, usually the Head of the company or for a movie like Naruto the Director would have to go, For example Michael Bay in TMNT, he stepped down from the directors seat after his Aliens TMNT's was outed and fans reacted badly, so he stepped down but remained Executive producer.

 

That is only ever going to happen IF the Japan fanbase continues their protests, and the movie tickets sales drop dramatically. Unfortunitely I don't see that happening, the worst that can happen now is likely cancellation of the movie and the NG Bolt manga, but I don't see that happening, even if they lose half of their reader base, it would still be more popular than most  manga's it wouldn't be a top 10 seller but the fanbase would be enough for the movie to make a profit, they would cut the budget by half, and not promote it as much, like most of the Naruto movies, they were still profitable dispite not coming close to the type of sales RtN saw.

 

I know the fans reaction seems to be really bad online, but one thing you learn as a gamer, is that fan protests don't always mean much, fans continue to bash CoD every single year yet it continues to be the best selling game year in year out. The problem is getting the average joe to boycott the movie and manga, many of them will read the manga because it's what they do, they don't have the same emotional attachment to it, and as long as those guys continue to buy this crap, SP will continue selling them crap.

 

If the fans really do react that badly, SWJ will just go the Dragonball GT route, and not mention it anymore, we'll just see them promoting Naruto from Chapter 1 to 699, the rest will not be mentioned and they'll hope nostalgia will sell the manga.

All this hate for Naruto is bogus. You can't give Sakura a pass for being awful from 693 on and not Naruto. Naruto deserved so mch better than Kishi reducing him to a jerk.

Argh, your "Sakura should get bashed" rants are starting to get annoying. Most people in Japan don't care about pairings. No one will bash Naruto just because he chose Hinata or Bash Sakura/Karin just because she chose Sasuke. They are not angry at Sakura for forgiving Sasuke like you want them to be. If they were, they wouldn't have read a manga where the main character is following Sasuke's butt for 15 years. So get over it. Naruto and Sakura chasing Sasuke isn't degrading in THEIR eyes. This is what this manga was mostly about in the first place and you should have known that. So stop forcing your logic on them. The reason they are angry is because of the movie. As I explained, he was willing to abandon his friend in danger because he was dumped, he disregarded all the bonds that aren't named Hinata, and he became a hypocrite. THAT is what made them angry. Why don't you talk about THAT instead of shifting the blame on other characters? Sakura never did those things. So get over it because they aren't going to bash her. At least not the guys in the that thread.

However one thing I agree is that the fans should get angry at Kishi, and NOT at the characters who were being forced to become OOC. I feel sorry for Naruto but I'm not going to find faults of other characters to make them look better. Because bashing other characters aren't going to make him look better.

That's what is so hard to explain with a clear face. I mean I get the theory that says SP is filled with Japanese extreme nerds.... but you'd still think that the marketing department would have spoken up and said "hey... yeah this is going to affect our bottom dollar."

 

It's rather odd... which makes me think Kishimoto pushed this as well. Maybe because he bought what the nerds at SP were selling but someone must have pushed for this.

Another detail that's troubling is how YJ's reviews could be railing against the movie so heatedly when "professional" critics like Kotaku are praising it as though it were the greatest thing since sliced bread. Why is there a huge discrepancy of opinion between the average viewers and these critics? 

 

 

 

That's so good to hear - probably the only shred of good news received for awhile now. A lot of us really appreciate your dedication in keeping the review up, Tsuki. Hopefully more and more people will be given the opportunity to read it and realise the subject matter Pierrot is force-feeding us. 

 

Kotaku is known within the gaming community as being more corrupt that anyone else, you'd need your head examined to even think that they are a reliable sourse. A few months back there was a huge scandal in the gaming community, that was refered to gamergate, it was found out one of the games that was given allot of positive press, two of the Kotaku employees had an indimate relationship with the female developer of said game. It put the entire gaming industry journalism under scrutiny and Kotaku has pretty much been blacklisted by many gamers as a no go site, as the little reputation they had was non existant by then.

 

The Kotaku review reads like a Hinata fanboy want anyway, when the review tells us the background charactors stay in the background like they should, you should know it's corrupt, specially when the Main heroine in the movie is not even a side-kick, infact she's lower teir 2, We have Naruto, Team Seven, Tsunade and Obito as top tier, then second teir we had Team Asuma at the top end, then Gaara and then Hinata is at the bottom end.

 

The movie was a bought review, and it was so badly covered up that it's not even funny.
