I am...very much worried. What is in Kishi's mind to show this right in the middle of the war? Someone help me to clear my worry....
I have not even dared venturing into reading the forums on the site I usually read the Manga coz I know they would be having a Naruhina party right now.

I have not read the weekly chapters for more than one year (it is much more enjoyable purchasing the volumes and reading several chapters in one go), but if I am correct, there was a flashback of the Academy years. In that flashback, we see Sasuke beating up Naruto, Sakura cheering Sasuke up (and then getting concerned about Naruto), Ino cheering Sasuke up more loudly than Sakura and Hinata observing Naruto from afar.
Jesus, so that when they were twelve years old or younger, Sasuke could beat Naruto up, Sakura and Ino got a crush on Sasuke and Hinata got a crush on Naruto. Who did know?
That was the situation back then. Kishimoto has beaten into our heads time after time that situation has changed (Sakura wasn't cheering Sasuke up the last time her teammate fought their ex-teammate, was she?).
Hinata's role? You are talking about observing Naruto from afar without talking to him how she has always done? That isn't a new development either.
I reckon someone could argue that flashback shows Naruto noticed she was looking to him. Well, of course he noticed. Back when she first showed up he said she was a weird girl was always looking to him. He DID notice. And it freaked him out.
Then again, it is a flashback, and in flashback we often see things the person is reminiscing couldn't have known about (such like it happened during the Kushina's flashback). Writers use them like tools to give away key information and they are not to be taken like the exact memories of the character.
Or maybe Naruto was distracted and didn't think much of it back then, but after Hinata's confession he realized she had been observing him back then (and you can see it didn't affect him at all).
I hope I didn't sound rude, but sincerely I didn't get why you got so worried. Shippers tend to freak out innecessarily.
They also were partying after Kakashi put Naruto and Hinata in the same team back when they were searching Itachi. They were partying after Hinata's confession as well. You can see how it went down.
I advise you keep doing that: not stepping in other forums and only reading the manga. Believe me, it is a waste of time and patience.
Do you want to take over the world, huh? Well, you'll have to go through us first!

I was worried because Kishi has put a small pause in the war to talk about Sasuke and his hatred...
Everyone had a significance in this particular chapter - I understand that Sakura (and Ino) comes in the picture because she was among those who supported the 'cool' guy Saskue, as Naruto observed.
I understand putting Shika and Chouji to show what real 'comerades' are in opposed to Naruto and Sasuke, and I understand putting the others to show that Sasuke had a big fan.
That's why I was jittery about why Kishi would show Hinata's here because she does not have anything to do with the Sasuke thing being shown here. And she was not quiet this time (as she usually has most of the time been), she actually voiced out her support for Naruto and of course, she was the only one to do it.
But you are right, I am freaking too much (but I'm still worried:( )
And I usually like the read the forum because except for the shipping war, there are lots of very interesting analysis and predictions (which are sometimes very accurate)...but usually when I know the comments will be geared towards shipping (like today), i avoid to read.

Yep we already cleared out that she was blushing, in addition the affectionate look she was giving Naruto. That's how he sees his peers in his mind, he has come to acknowledge that Sakura is in love with him.
Now if you looked at Hinata she was the only one who had her back and her face hidden in the shadow. Her expressed seems to be frowning that's how he sees her. That flashback picture says a lot that Kishi is showing that Naruto loves Sakura and not Hinata.

It's not a flashback picture, but how Naruto mentally sees his age peers, flashbacks have black bands around them, mental images are merely grayed with no black bands around them, but otherwise yes you have it right.

Exactly!

And I don't understand you about your statements of that flashback scene. @Darth Krypt give you a correct answer and there is nothing to worry about. Let's focus on NS moments.

Are there two different versions of that panel? Because the Mangastream one doesn't really look like a blush to me.
Other than that, I agree 100%. Although it seems a little odd that Hinata is the only one pointed in that direction. I mean, I can see a NaruHina fan making a fuss about how she and Naruto are the only ones pointed that way (even though Naruto's obviously looking at the reader). I don't know, I didn't really take it as a shipping hint as much as a picture of his friends and his relationship to them. Although the fact that it's a mental image and not a flashback does make it a little more important I guess.
Also, did anyone think it was funny how he included Shino in that group, but not Tenten or Ino? I mean he doesn't really have too many conversations with any of them canonically, but I thought it was funny how included a character he's had one conversation with, lol.

Ino was there, she was with Sakura since they were "besties". Tenten, along with Lee and Neji, are a year older than Naruto and the rest of the "Rookie 9" because they're not part of their class.

Wait...I must be looking at the wrong picture, cause I see both Neji and Lee in there. Neji's behind Hinata, and Lee is off to the left, and if Ino's in there, she's that weird disembodied head behind Naruto's words ("I wish you could have met them..."). Is the picture in question on page 2 of chapter 505?
Sorry to take this off topic, I was just curious about the whole 'Sakura blushing' thing.

Ino was there, she was standing next to Sakura and has short hair (and was complaining about Shikamaru's laziness before Sasuke was called up to go "fangirl" mode). Both of them didn't grew their hair until the Genin exams. Neji, Lee and Tenten were not at the scene. All of those kids, minus the ones we know, were just background/filler characters.

Ahh... I feel dumb now. I wasn't talking about the flashback scene from the last chapter, I was commenting on some peoples' comments about chapter 505. Someone mentioned Sakura blushing, so I was looking at that panel in 505. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Err, Ino and Tenten are in Naruto's mental image picture in the original of chapter 505. (Tenten is next to Rock Lee and Ino is next to her.) I saw the image in their reproduction and they actually erased and altered some lines, and overlightened it too. They took away most of the shadowing of Hinata's face and changed her frown to a neutral expression, and redrew the bottom of Sakura's eyes, so that the light blush looks instead like overlarge eyes. Key point- Kishimoto doesn't put open space below the bottom of the eyeballs on the eyes of anyone else in that image. If you look at the scanalation you see a faint hint of the bottom of Sakura's eyes at the corner of her eyes- above where the very short slanted lines on her upper cheeks- how and where he always draws Sakura's light blushes. You can also see in the scanalation there is a line right below Sakura's eyeballs and above the slanted lines on her upper cheeks. The scanalation here has the original printing from Japan's Shonen Jump with just the English text pasted in (unfortunately over much of Ino's face and part of Tenten's.)

I was rather annoyed when I saw what US Shonen Jump did to that image, it goes right along with the strangely rather inaccurate translation in 504 of Kushina's advice to Naruto about what type girl he should avoid, rather odd because the rest was fairly accurate....

Because she hasn't had much action. That makes people think that she is weak. The only time she fought good was with Sasori. And because of the fact that Chiyo fought with her, people think that she must be weak as she needed Chiyo to defeat Sasori.
Another thing would be the overshadowing of her fights. In more or less every fight she has, there is a longer, better and awesomer fight including stronger people like Naruto and Kakashi. So she ends up being compared to one of the strongest people we know of and therefore looks weak. Even when she fought Ino, people thought she was weak just because there were stronger people there. Immediately after, Temari beat Tenten in a minute, then Shikamaru blew our minds, not to mention Naruto vs Kiba. It's really not that hard to see why she's seen as weak.

2. "This is an interesting, but perverse, point of view..."
3. "True, but quite unimportant."
