I know some people say that giving older Naruto a "minato" look would be boring and uncreative.......But I would rather have Naruto looking like "Minato" than have this hideous look imo

It will be interesting to see how Kishimoto redeems (or tries to redeem) Sasuke this time.
 
Leaving the village for a few years for revenge/power is one thing. But abandoning your family for 12 YEARS, of your own choice, is something else entirely. 
 
It's clear that even though Sakura is doing her best to make it work — what with the house, playing the part of the doting housewife with the dusting and laundry, and the Uchiha fans plastered everywhere — Salada is already feeling the effects of having an absentee father.
 
If she's already questioning the weird circumstances of their marriage and family life.... Whoa, Nellie, it's going to be a bumpy ride for Sakura. 
 
And from here on out, Salada will only be more involved with her team and less involved with family. Sasuke's window of influence has closed.
 
Twelve years, by Sasuke's own choosing, is a really long time to be gone. I can't imagine an excuse that will make this be ok. No doubt Kishi's going to throw one at us anyway.

My money is on him not knowing. It's the easiest way out of this. However, if he does, no doubt his absentee status will be given short shrift. Kinda like how those called for Obito's blood just seemed to disappear into the void.

I mean explain why he was gone. For example, Kishi could just say he had to go on a life-saving mission and couldn't see his family for whatever reason, and by "justify" I don't mean make the action OK just show a reason for it like Itachi torturing Sasuke so he could get stronger but it doesn't negate that he tortured him.

Oh, I would love it if live-saving mission were the excuse. That would be so at odds with the endings impression of peace and prosperity and why SASUKE of all people is being entrusted with this. I guess he just doesn't want to tell to save them all the grief.
