Okay the only one hope for Kishi to make another movie and have decent profits is to completely exclude NH and the family, feature on team seven (excluding the "worst scumbag") and make it an action story. Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru action will probably sell. It's awkward but at this point he NEEDS to replace Naruto with Shikamaru and make a new team seven and give them some smart strategic battles. No Boruto, No Naruto and No Hinata of course.

Like people said before, he could make the whole movie an Infinite Tsukuyomi thing, since Duracell isn't looking like he'll be bringing in any money.

Oh, and he could make ShikaSaku canon since their popular characters, and he's all about popularity now

Make the next movie explain that 699-700 and perhaps 693 including The Last was all a genjutsu. Have Naruto and Sasuke after the genjutsu is broken, take down the true final badass villain Madara, but explain that bc they already fought and settled their differences inside the genjutsu they don't need to fight again. But during the fight with Madara, make it clear that the reason they are suceeding is bc of Naruto. Finally have Sasuke walk off after being rejected by Sakura and end with NS.

 

.... Perhaps I'm the one in the genjutsu but I think this might win back the fandom and save Kishi's credibility. Its a cop out but he can support it with evidence from the manga.

Of course. In Kishi's mind, I'm sure that's why he turned Sakura back into a fangirl in 699. To try and show that she was undeserving of Naruto's affections to clear the way for NH.

EXACTLY. SStards think 698 was a beautiful moment of the unconditional love Sakura had for Sasuke when in fact the moment was meant to kitten on her--to finally convince the reader that she will never move on from Sasuke and that Naruto should find a better girl. It was Sakura's worst moment...her ultimate betrayal towards Naruto's heart.
SS is the they-deserve-eachother pairing in Kikitten's mind so it always baffles me how sasusaku fans think Kishimoto gives a kitten about Sakura or that her in a relationship with Sasuke is a "gift" from Kishi. It's not. It's his ultimate kitten-You to Sakura.
