We were always right. But money is more powerful than us for now at least.

 

money that SP is losing. Sp seemed to enjoy NS to some degree (there were always moments and pretty much confirmations in nearly all the shippuden fillers)

So I still believe they will retcon the whole thing in some way

The anime hasn't yet reached 699/700 so there's still a chance
