I don't get it, really. I mean, the Hokage dream everyone accepts it as unchangeable, however, the girl he loves find it changeable, though he clearly said he understands why he loves her, has done numerous things to show how strong his love is, as well told Sai that he indeed loves her, but he can't confess, yet, because of Sasuke. How comes this is changeable, but the Hokage dream isn't?

good point. If you let me to add even more like this -> and above all, why would be Naruto, the main character himself who never gives up, to change his mind about love interest instead of Sakura or Hinata? This make no sense to me.

Naruto, in this matter, thinks more about Sakura's happiness in life. It's his dream to get Sakura but there's her happiness first and Naruto knows she still have leftover feelings for Sasuke. It's after the resolution of her feelings for Sasuke that he'll change his mind about this and Sakura will be more aware of her feelings for Naruto and probably by that time, she has realized that she really loves him. Plus, there's the way Kishi is making the drama and romance of the manga goes, and he's leaving it till near the end.

It's just a matter of stretching the romance and drama.

I wouldn't say die but if the conversation ends there, well that's all folks. It will die if Naruto shows feelings for Sakura, Sakura hinting her feelings for Naruto, Hinata finally "stops chasing him", and/or Hinata pass down the torch. If any one of them happens, then you can say that. I think there's more to it, but feel free to list them.

I remember having this debate with some NH fans a while ago. I told them that whenever Naruto creates a bond with someone, that bond will remain solid and the same forever - at least on Naruto's side. His obsession with Sasuke is strong evidence.
Then they said that he loves Sasuke much more than Sakura, and I told them that his relationship with Sakura has not been tested that way, no one can assume he wouldn't do the same if she was in Sasuke's shoes.

This point is actually what drove me over to be an NS fan. When Jiraiya died, he literally told Naruto to accomplish what he couldn't. Naruto will save his friend(Sasuke) and the world, and get the girl. Nothing can make me believe that Hinata is that girl.

Let's count the numerous NS supporters in the manga. Sai, Yamato, Jiraiya, Kushina, maybe more..that is worth much more than the giant NH army in the US. XD
