If the Naruto vs Sasuke fight happens I'll be damned if she still chooses Sasuke

Well she's not a fangirl anymore.I don't think she will choose Sasuke.Her actions show us that she chooses Naruto over Sasuke.

I agree with your post ramenanimitsu, i feel that the biggest problem is that Sakura actually is being most likely a trophy on the whole thing.
Where did Naruto actually put effort for the pairing to move forward?
He rejected her "fake confession" but even so didnt managed to speak with her later.
Since Sasuke left he distanciated from her.
She's always put alongside with her friends without any special place, unlinke Kushina for Minato, Rin for Obito and etc..
What we see is Sakura actually doing everything for this pairing, Naruto never returns Sakura's approachs on the same level.
It feels like it's not the main character that is after Sakura but Sakura who has to chose between Sasuke or Naruto.

The message is, "do you want the girl of your dreams?"
Just ignore it, treat her like any of your other friends that one day she will fall into your arms.

Where did Naruto actually put effort for the pairing to move foward?

Idk, maybe when he shoved his happiness aside and put her happiness above his, even if it made him miserable. He didn't accept her fake confession because it wasn't right to. She had unresolved issues lingering with him and Sasuke, and he didn't like the fact that she lied to herself about not caring about Sasuke anymore. Is it really to much to ask that he wanted a completely honest relationship from that point? It's conceivable to think that had they move forward at that point, that Naruto might have had insecurity issues in that relationship regarding Sasuke, especially since he knew she wasn't being entirely sincere regarding Sasuke. Regardless of what you think, Sakura is one of the few people that he elevates over his friends, considering the lengths he goes to make her happy at the expense of his health and his own happiness.

As for the Naruto not going after Sakura, he loves her. That is clear. He doesn't "pursue" her outside of asking her on dates because he wants her to choose him, not go out with him because of what he has done for her. He wants her to choose him and acknowledge him because she loves him, and he her, not because the schoolgirl crush hasn't worked out. Naruto has done nothing wrong in pursuit of Sakura.

This whole "Sakura is a prize" thing is an absurd argument that doesn't even belong anywhere near the NS pairing. Why? Because Naruto has never, ever, thought of Sakura as a prize. If he doesn't think of her as a prize, then that line of thought is totally irrelevant.

Again its like I said, there's really no further Kishi could take NS without making it canon. Whether or not he'll make it canon before the movie comes out depends on if he wants them to be canon or if he somehow is gonna make an excuse as to why after several years of being in the same village together they aren't canon. I will lose even more respect for Naruto if its a lame excuse like "well i couldn't bring Sasuke back so...therefore.....well like whatever i'm just not ready yet"

Yesterday on Youtube I was trying to tell this SS fan that what I was saying is the truth about Sakura and what Kishi said in his interview about Sakura's confession then RomanceGirl came to my rescue yesterday and just hit that SS fan with a bunch of evidence and yet the SS fan still continued to talk to me ignoring what RomanceGirl said to her and I was like: So RomanceGirl just hit you with a bunch of good evidence and your still talking to me not responding to what RomanceGirl said?
