Well we got about 13 chapters left (unless we have also have breaks in between) until the movie is released. 

 

You guys got your bets on something going wrong for the next several chapters or the next 13 simply being build-up to the new age.

Well, I guess the next chapter is the somewhat answer to many of what's going down, because if you start the cleanup job or even Sasuke's fight, then you can say it's lining up to it. Otherwise, well, that would mean movie will get a head start as the manga will still try to tell you how it will leads you to it.

I think apart of why Sasuke seems more important to Naruto is because he can't show too much towards Sakura-Chan or he figure he'll give himself away of how deep his feelings is. But that's just my opinion I could be wrong because think about it, if Naruto would have believed Sakura-Chan was telling he truth with the confession I believe he would have said kitten Sasuke and went with Sakura-Chan and probably occasionally look for Sasuke but not to the extents he's going now.

I think it has to do with Naruto's past, and how he feels that Iruka, Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura, and others saved him from himself. Because of his past he values friendships and relationships deeply. So to him losing a friend is one of the worst things he could imagine.

Speaking of Naruto and..Sasuje....this reminds of their battle which has already been paralled with Hashirama and Madara's battle at VOTE! And as far as I remember....Hashirama killed Madara by making him believe that he killed Hashirama while it was a wood CLONE and then the real Hashirama stabbed Madara through heart and said.....'I'd not spare anyone who attacks the village! Be it my best friend, my brother, my wife or....even my own son!'

Not to mention that Wood clone was Hashirama's speciality and Hashirama has been paralled with Naruto who ironically has Shadow Clone technique as his speciality!

That would probably be more realistic than Sasuke being redeemed. Naruto needs to learn that not everyone wants to be saved.

But then...he's supposed to be the guy who brings peace, so....hm.=/

On the issue of Sasuke...I'm torn.

On one hand, I can appreciate the idea of redemption. Really. Redemption is tied to my beliefs and values, my religion teaches that no one is beyond saving. I like seeing characters redeemed.

 

I do feel that Sasuke being redeemed is pretty much a given.

I just think Kishi hasn't written Sasuke's story very well (and I'm not even a critical person, I'd rather believe the best about the author's abilities) if redemption is what he was going for. I don't think Sasuke's redemption will be convincing, I think it will feel forced. It really feels like Kishi wrote himself into a corner.

A few years ago I wrote a short story about this hardened criminal who found God...I don't think I did a good job at it at all.
