Like seriously nothing in the first season of manga indicates that Naruto and Hinata had interaction when they were kids. Naruto was all "Thats weird silent Hyuuga girl". 

I smells fanfiction-level of story.

So who will defend Kishi's writing if NH happens ? He had to asspull flashbacks that were never there, kitten on his main character and his feelings as if they never existed when he is the one that had the most reasons to still hold onto his feelings since he has constant interactions with his love interest and forces romantic interest onto him when he has never shown even one hint of romance for 700 chapters, goes against his own themes and foreshadowing, resolve this subplot in a movie that seems to ignore all the previous development troughout the manga and the list goes on.
Kishimoto is such a great writer.

yeah i will still have respect for the writing that hes done in the past that made me love the series, but if he asspulls nh i will lose alot of respect for him and there is no defending him going that direction it goes totally against what he wrote previously.

I wouldn't be so sure. Hanabi is kidnapped at the beginning, but her posturing in the still image from the movie implies that she tries to defend herself beforehand. She could very easily put up a much stronger fight than Hinata does. If so, that would mean the younger sibling with less experience is still the superior ninja. How funny...
