Somehow people are starting to back on positive mood! Thank God, tbh I was tired of you guys, sorry. And yeah, it wasn't intended to be a confession, but an attempt to bring Sasuke back. 

 

So viz is only correct when it favors NS?

 

It's similar to the translators' versions, that's why it's correct I guess o.O... 

 

 

Even if daisuki could be used to talk about some cheese you love ?

 

In some mangas, they even get confused when someone says "daisuki", because they want to know what kind of "suki" it is.

I know we like to be negative about Viz's translations but they're probably the best we got. They actually have direct access to WSJ themselves. They even have the one of Jump's editors to help translate them in English.

I think she's trying to ask if daisuki can be used in a platonic way.

Daisuki can be used in a platonic way, just like the English 'like' or 'love' but it's pretty clear that it's supposed to be meant in the romantic sense...

Suki can also mean "like", doesn't it? Like when you're eating some good cheese and you say "daisuki!" Or when you want to say you like/love fraternally a friend, and you say "daisuki!"

** I'm not completely sure about this sentence, but I think the first part means something like 'to get close to, to reach'. You can ask takL for clarification if you wish. The second part literally reads 'I couldn't do 'sashichigaeru'... which means 'to stab each other and go down together'. So - unless this expression also has a metaphorical connotation that I'm unaware of (perfectly possible) - I guess that Sakura's intention in Iron Country was to kill Sasuke and be killed by him at the same time, thus dying together with him.

*** LIterally 'to be unreasonable, to fret, to throw a tantrum'.

I think this make more sense than mangastream version.

 

We already know she wanted to die and kill Sasuke. She felt really bad at that time because of what Sai told her. I'm not surprised she's talking about going down with him.

This version is again stating that she doesn't want him as her boyfriend anymore.

 

When Kakashi talked about the love she feel for Sasuke, Sasuke thought about his family. This "ai suru", is this used to talked about family bonds / family love ? This is the strongest bond, family.

 

I think I understand why Kishi made Sakura still having strong feelings with Sasuke at that moment. It's because he wanted Sasuke to be touched by her and Naruto before redeeming him.

It's weird, but I feel better wit this translation, and it make sense to me.

I always knew Sakura will always have a deep feeling toward Sasuke. The same goes for Naruto.

I've seen it being used as fraternal love multiple times in mangas. Like when a girl confesses a guy using "suki" and he says he also "suki" her, but not in the same way.

the words  are deep and deceiving . but sakuras angry expression  and her memory about chapter 181.  and kakashis words  are telling me its a family /friend /teammate love . . its wasnt a bad chapter after all.   . and even narutos reaction  to sakura . as if he knew what she meant and agree with her .. . about the family love .  and ss is dead  . for ever .in this manga .

 

 

Perhaps I'll wait for the follow up  though I hope you are right . But still the wording is so kittened up and hate this men for it  .

Exactly, plus Kakshi was also the one to point that out; that her love has become platonic, and now he says it again and emphasized it. For once, Kishimoto is being consistent.
