This isn't a great Year for NH. 

First Hinata was ignored in the 20Y video anniversary.

SS Manga.

Sakura beating Hinata by a large advantage in the global poll.

Official merchandising Videos ignoring NH as the supposed "main" couple in the series.

 

Now Pierrot is trolling them.

They made Naruto being too harsh to Hinata in Anime version. He called her a idiot and made her come back to the Kitchen.

NH stans are furious.

 

Hinata isn't really a good mother.

She never thinks in her daughter when she wants to die for Nardo.

Sakura x Sasori was ranked as 3º best battle of the entire Shippuuden in the DataBook until Kage Summit Arc.

Sakura is the only woman in the series who have a true fight against a Akatsuki.

No surprises here.

Lol, oh, God, this is so sweet to hear that the nH fans are getting so dame angry over everything that is happening, and I love it so freaking much because all of what you posted is true, and the nH fans are hating this so much I bet. Knowing how butt hurt they are feeling right now, they will hate on Sakura even more, not knowing that Hinata has always been the weak link in Naruto.

Even if it was the 3rd most popular fight, fact remain that this result happen years ago, which a lot happen since then, her not popular in the wes for one thing and regarless of the past result about this fight, it didn't stop the executives to cut a lot of her importance in the story past Pain arc therfore, could also skip this fight into the vote now.

 

To be fair, I didn't follow any popular votes past the end of the manga, outside this one so I can't compare. The only thing I can see is the present result which, so far, did put Sakura higher in rank than even Naruto and Sasuke which, might explain why they did put her fight into the vote in the end.

NH is so boring/unpopular/non existent in manga.  Only Pierrot Fillers remembers them.
The best Ikemoto can do is put Hinata slaping Kawaki
Most likely NH will be ignored forever by side materiais, publicity and by the JP fandom.  . This  hurts Naruto's character as the supposed old protagonist.
 
At this poins it's impossible for NH suparss SS. SS  are composed by two main characters. NH are just Naruto and a figurant big chested. NS could potentially suparss SS in the long run if they were canon.

But now SS will remain as the main couple.
 
They know they can milk the  SS/Sakura fans for all their money because they're still a big portion of the Naruto  fandom compared to the self inserts NH/Hinata ghosts.

They will need Sasuke/Naruto Fans who doens't care about pairings.

Uchiha/Kakashi/Itachi/Minato/Hokages/Akatsuki/Secondary Cast (pretty much the entire original fanbase) and a good plot/fights to call these people again. Isn't a coincidence so many polls in this period.

Sasuke/Naruto were  much damaged by Bort Manga.

Thats why Minato, Itachi and even Shisui is beating them.
Sakura is non-existent. So somehow this helped to preserve Sakura in fans memory.
Also Anime Fillers/Novels does a good treatment for Sakura showing her as a boss medical ninja and Sarada's mother. While Hinata was simply a housewife.

 

Sakura always was popular.  In 2011 Sakura was behing Hinata in the popularity poll. Because Kage Summit arc really damaged Sakura's image. Kishimoto's definition of "heroine" was totally wrong in this arc.

War Arc, Gaiden and the Novels easily helped to recovery that damage and SS fans supports fanatically her .

If you count SS + NS Fandom before 2014. Sakura's fandom is even bigger.

I don't know if NS fans still likes her. Since NS fandom disbanded after 2014 and is rare to find NS fans outside this Forum even some of NS hates Sakura now.

But Sakura contantly ranked as the best female/Kunoichi/Scenes and even Mother in these years. Global poll only confirmed that to producers

Only the casual fans in West have the bias against Sakura. In Japan she pretty dominates everything about shipping and mechardising.

 

Tsunade fight against Pein was cut too.This isn't a Sakura  problem. But a sexism problem against girls in manga. Sakura is pretty much the only Woman who have a true fight in manga. So they have to put a female fight in the Ranking and Sakura was the only option.
Hinata was one shotted by Pein.
Ino/Karin/TenTen/Temari did nothing in Shippuuden.

I wouldn't blame solely boruto for naruto's decline, the ending itself was controversial given how Tokyo ghoul final volume outsold naruto's in Japan. Plus the kaguys twist.

Given what I have read of retsuden manga I hardly find the spin of material doing sakura any favors, which even see some ss fans complain on twitter. Speaking of which while many ns fans dropped the franchise after 2014, there is a sort of resurgence with them on twitter and tumblr particularly with fanon projects.

I would argue ino did alot in support when it came to fights die to being in team 10, which gave her more fights to be in that sakura early on with the war.

Okay my friend double checked its only part 1 thats ending.

You got my hopes up for nothing.   Now I'm bummed.    But yeah I heard that Boruto was only done part 1. Cant imagine how engaging the next part will be, since I dont have expectations.

It's not just Boruto that did the damage. It's been done for way longer than 8 years, it's been done since the end of the Pain arc.

The quality dropped dramatically after that arc. And most people were still on board because we can excuse the poor writing, the retcons, the stupidity of certain moments as long as the ending of the manga was decent enough to make us say "You know it's been a rough road, but we got here and it's ok".

You know the saying "It's not the destination that matters, it's the journey" that could've been true with Naruto, in the end we could've said that's a good ride. But instead both the journey and the destination were trash and made the whole thing not worth it. And then like that wasn't enough they pilled up on that trash making it a lot worse and worse and worse.

 

They've burnt too many bridges with us. Not just the NS fans, but all. There wasn't a single fanbase that wasn't touched negatively by them. Even NH was destroyed by them. Yeah they got together, but ultimately apart from some fans who just wanted to see them together just to spit in our face, NH was destroyed. The Last ignored all their moments which NH were worshiping and throw them in the garbage and invented new ones in place of them. Those weren't the same characters.

 

I do have to say in a way I do agree that those polls aren't for nothing. Sooner or later they will have to correct course because it's not making them money. And ultimately that's what this is really about. It's a business and the point of a business is to make money. You have shareholders to answer to.

We've all seen thanks to you guys who kept up with the sales and posted them, that they've lost a lot.

Now are they going to do it in the upcoming future, I doubt it. I've shared what I think and what I say it would be more beneficial for them. End Boruto, leave it a while on shelves then pick a moment from Naruto from which you restart and ignore Boruto and act like it never happened. Maybe once a while poke some fun at it.

And obviously don't do the exact same things. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Everything Post Pein was really bad.

Excluding some minor moments like Kushina and Minato mini Arc and maybe Madara appearence in the War etc.

I guess the Fanbase was really attached to the Characters/Story  to simply drop the manga even after the massive quality drop and Kishimoto's trolling against characters and pairings.

 

 

 

 

Boruto doesn't have this benefit. Nobody gives a kitten about Boruto and his new Rival Kawaki and fans doesn't want to be trolled anymore.

Boruto didn't have a good plot and makes 0% of use of the Original Cast. It's no surprise Boruto lost 90% of the original Sales.
