IDK. Part one, I can understand. I was never more than a casual fan of Hinata, but I can see why part one Hinata was preferable to part one Sakura.

I liked Hinata for similar reasons that I like (and eventually became a fan of) Sakura, TBH...a weak character seeking to become strong. And the situation with her family/clan had potential. But her fans seem to like her for an entirely different reason than I did, since apparently they think the height of her growth is having Naruto-kun's babies.

I would but the only Naruto merchandise i have is naruto ninja storm 3 which i bought digitally for PC months ago, LOL. fortunately it was on sale for $10 only, im stuck with it forever.

The way I see it there are three options at this point:

1. As you said Kishimoto is just trying to piss people off... for some reason.

2. Kishimoto has been exposed as a hack fraud, and whatever success he has had story wise has come from the guiding hand of a good editor, with the help of some promising assistant.

3. Kishimoto right now is just trying to keep the remainder of his fanbase happy, which at this point is largely NH and some SS.So he is acting accordingly.

 

I personally think number 2 is what is going on here.

They're just pissy because they're in denial about Kishi's interview. I.e. NH being a pity/guilt/misinterpreted popularity ship with no real love between them and SS being an abusive ship that only ever happened because of NH and shouldn't have happened because Kishi was out of touch with his fans, else he would have realized that Sakura is more popular than Hinata and NS would have been canon.

I know, it's so weird. It's like he's intentionally trying to sabotage his lifework. His previous interviews are so on point and he knew exactly what to say! And now it seems like he's a golddigger, but at the same time it's too ridiculous to be real.
