Idk, but Rukia was still on Renji's back. Kubo needs to chill, even if he's giving them their final moments out of pity for that fanbase. It hurts us to see our favorite characters with the wrong people that way. Never let him carry you again, Rukia.

I think that's proof of it being friendly, and nothing else. We know that Byakuya would jump at any guy trying to be with Rukia, no matter the moment. For at the very least, comic relief. Not only that, but their faces were pretty mellow. I don't know why she hoped on his back for, because even a lovey dovey couple wouldn't be doing stupid crap for love like that on the battlefield. Wouldn't them both running by themselves maximize speed? I'm sure the only answer to this is "hey, you're slowing me down with your height." Doesn't that look like something that happened by the look on Rukia's face that screamed something far away from "Aaaahhhh~~~ I'm on Renji's back!!!" We've all seen them together, and they're just friends. It would make no sense for one to say to the other "hop on" for romantic purpose out of nowhere.

 

If Renji was that outgoing to get Rukia, he would of asked her for a date yeeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago. If Rukia wanted Renji that bad, she wouldn't look at Ichigo with puppy eyes every time he has to leave for a month or 2. Renji being with Rukia is forced if it happens, and if Orihime gets Ichigo, it's forced as well. We've never seen Ichigo want Orihime, and we've never seen Renji or Rukia want each other. We have, however, seen Rukia struggle very early on to tell someone that she was just friends with Ichigo. Obviously showing she has feelings more than just friends with him. As for Ichigo, you don't look at a girl the way he did those 3 times if you don't want her.

 

Kisuke said it's up to Ichigo and Rukia to save the day. Orihime won't be standing in that room for much longer. It already makes no sense that she can stand in a room with THAT much reiatsu in it. The second he looks in her direction is the second she is done for. I actually thought he was going to kill her last chapter. For the time being, he wanted some more challange, but now that he's serious, she can't stay in that room.

Naruto is the case of bad writing, I don't think it's fair to compare to naruto.

Good point.

But it's getting old for female doing the chase and being inferior to the other candidate, whether or not is the same area. It's like why the inferior wins when another has more development/chemistry. We'll see how it plays out in this series but I'm sure I won't be as frustrated as Naruto.

Too soon on quotes? It would be cheap to do one because if she comes back, then it's a plot device and don't further her character. At least the ones you mentioned has a reason to pull it off.

The same reason on why tsundere must win.
In the case of bleach, rukia doesn't have romantic feeling to ichigo. If she has it, it would be ichiruki hand down. The same could be said about if ichigo has romantic feeling to rukia.

I think the reason people make comparison between orihime with Hinata because it's a oneside love with big boob girly girl female character. But they forget that kind of oneside love is not uncommon in manga. Hancock is one of the example of Hinata case and then the pink hair girl in shaman king.
The big different between Hinata and orihime is one is a side character who love by fandom and the other is main character who to some extent hate by the fandom for the same reason Hinata get love.

In the end of the day only it's a battle between girly girl vs tomboy or wild boy vs cool boy. And if both side has the same circumstance than it's up to the author to decide and I will accept it. The same can't be said for nh because it's not a story progression but popular decision.
So when the like of onodera or orihime become the girl, personally I don't see the problem since I used the same argument with ichigo 100%
