Damn so many Tobi's

This was probably already mentioned, but do you think the whole Sasuke/Naruto/Sakura love Triangle in this movie could of stemmed from Tobi overhearing Naruto that he never kissed a girl before a few chapters back?
Reddragon's post made me think of it. Yknow, since the movie is based around the whole war its self.

The movie is not canon to the manga story. Everyone needs to have that clear. There's even gonna be a special chapter next week that will probably serve as a prelude to the movie. Whatever comments Tobi hears from Naruto will probably happen in that chapter.

The only thing we can take from this movie is author intent. Even if the story is not canon the characters will act as Kishi intended for them to do since he personally developed the movie.

That's the tricky thing... if Kishi explains the timeline of the events leading up to the movie, then it could be canon.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that if this movie is considered canon in Kishimoto's eyes, then the most likely time it will be set in is that whole week Kishi skipped that was right before Naruto sets sail for the Turtle Island.

No it doesn't. Naruto never met his mom until he went to that island, so how would he know anything about his mother. And if this is the first time he meets her, than how would he forget about her when he first meets her in his mind?

But he already met his father kishi says that naruto didnt knew who his parents are so, it does not fit in any manga stuff.

I noticed no one had posted the full pages scan that has Kishimoto's sketches of Sakura's parents, there's a sketch of her mom laughing with her head ducked down that really softens her face- she looks kind of pretty when she laughs- haven't seen that expression used in any of the movie sketches- maybe it's a reflection of how Sakura's mom in the real world has a more balanced personality, but in the genjutsu world she is only angry and harsh. There's also a sketch her dad with the typical Konoha Chunin/Jonin vest on over his top- which is crossed over a lot higher than in the genjutsu version- and it looks like his pants may be more typical- instead of board shorts as in the genjutsu world, it looks like the normal long pants gathered into the wrappings- he just wears the wrappings higher than Kakashi, Iruka, etc.... up to just below his kneecap, rather than about midcalf. Maybe that's what her real dad dresses like.

As long as it's canon in Kishimoto's eyes, it's canon in my eyes. But I think this it what would happen if everything was different, or if some situations were avoided. ***invasion of PAAIN**

I at least consider the emotions of the main characters as canon, but maybe the plot is a twisted universe.

Sorry but kishi said that this movie is a fanservice, after that issue with naruto and his mother, he wanted to draw naruto with his family but it was impossible to do it on a manga so he did it on a movie, You already can see that he had limitations on his own story i will not take as canon since it's a movie.
if u take this as canon dont use it on debates or similar stuff otherwise a lot of people will ignore your comments if u use this.

To a more serious manner, I feel like this is Kishimoto's way to sum up everything he wished to include in the manga, but couldn't.

If he wanted to include these moments in the manga, you can basically say he wanted it to be canon, and now he made it canon with a movie.
