orihime not actually doing anything, then keep in mind that Urahara, a couple chapters ago, said that he was leaving it to Ichigo and Rukia, not Ichigo and Orihime.

lol rukia ain't nowhere near ichigo. she too busy hanging out with renji for the past 20 chapters. it's all about ichihime right now.

I'm not saying that it's certainly over, but it comes to that from my sight. Whole war they're on different fronts, while there is no interactions betwen them at all (this horrible 4th war situation, not again 
).
And Urahara totally don't know that now Jerard dancing all over shinigami's on his plate. While Ichigo and Orihime came to Bach.
It's not like I want it, but things for IR not looking well at all.

it doesn't matter, both characters are developed well to take the mantle.
i'll be happy if ichiruki happened too. it's a win-win situation for me anyway

I think rukia is more like sasuke. She's the second most important character just like sasuke. The difference is sasuke is naruto equal while rukia isn't ichigo equal in term of story.Maybe Rukia is getting the Sakura effect. Part of it is losing the main role or being seen as one. Granted, you can try to argue that Orihime has always been that role but eh, who knows.

You know, when I say Sakura effect, I meant in a way of being treated like kitten or downplayed from heroine status. It doesn't have to be that literal. I forgot where is she now. The only way she can "win" for "pairing" is to pull Hinata from War Arc: still win even not doing anything.

No, not that one, but that was a major flop when it's all said and done. The ads it had was unbelievable. Now, being canceled.

You mean it's all about Orihime showing one sided affection for Ichigo, like she's done for the entire series.

I don't think it matters. Urahara is smart enough to know that they won't be beaten by Gerard, and he knows that whatever happens, it will end with Ichigo and Rukia, not Ichigo and Orihime.

So like.....why is there a ship war when it can go either way? (I meant this in general).....Both have a decent amount of development with Ichigo and can understand him, granted we see it more with Rukia and there is no Sakura effect here, Orihime and Rukia has done more than enough to be consider heroine more so than the girls in Naruto
