Well if you want my opinion her it is:
Way back at the end of the Pain arc Kishi said he had the end all figured out, and he just had to get there. However years later he started working on "The Last" with SP, who are MAJOR Hinata fans. I think they talked him into making the movie, Part 3 and the Epilouge like this (obviously for money and merchandizing). Even it even though he agreed to it, he still wanted to write the story his way. So up until 698, he still wrote it the way had intended to from the Pain arc. Then for these last 44 pages he switched to SP's ending and changed it from a happy NS ending to a horrible, depressing NH/SS ending. That's why it seems so random, ridiculous, and OOC, because it is. It's not his intended end for the series, but he did it anyway for the money. There's more than enough proof for that with all the NS moments and Anti SS moments from the war. Literally within the last 5 chapters Kakashi's saying "Sakura's not trying or wanting to be yours!" and Sasuke's saying things like "I have no reason to like her" and "Naruto's my only friend, if I break my bond with him I'll be all alone.".
That's why I refuse to accept this as the actual end. I won't bash the characters or the series (I'll just bash Kishi instead), because I don't consider it canon. There's no way I'll let 2 chapters and a movie ruin a 15 year old, 698 chapter series.
The only things I'm looking forward to now are either Kishi making an alternate NS ending (highly unlikely) or at least coming out and admitting this wasn't how he planned it and explaining himself.
Until then, NS is still the only pairing in the series that makes sense, and NH/SS are still disgusting.

I would definitly like after the movie an alternate ending to show what was intended from the start

Well if you checked during the whole manga, he never hint that he has any feeling for her I mean he tried to kill her 3 time, verbally abuse her time to time. Even in 700 ending, he give her children but god, he wanderer around the village, he doesn't look like a caring husband or father.  Like his father was. In other word no, it is an asspull.

Yeah, you are right, but what if SS was right about him having secret feelings for her? People are saying this ending is what Sasuke and Hinata wanted, but I thought it was what Sakura wanted (she reverted back to a fangirl), not Sasuke.

call me crazy, but i think kishi will show his true colors in the last movie, just like he did in rtn. sure, the last may be how nh becomes canon, but i think it'll have tons of ns moments. remember when he said what he couldn't do in the manga he'll do in the movie? i think this same thing applies. plus, you also have to consider the fact that this movie was in production way before the ending of the manga. and also, sakura is listed as the second main character in the movie, and there are the pictures of naruto and sakura posed together.

the last will be 1 giant middle finger from kishi, just because they forced his hand in the manga. he's going to have the last laugh for the years of development that went down the drain. does anyone honestly believe that naruto and sakura will barely have any interaction at all just like in this chapter? and also, notice how much info is packed in the databook, you think that was made in a day? no. when kishi made that he stated that naruto is in love with sakura.

don't give up on anime. Kishi was a bad writer. He sold out in the end, you didn't read anything wrong and that is why we're so shock. there are plenty of anime that has a good story. Watch HunterX Hunter, Full metal alchemist brotherhood or one piece if you want an ongoing anime like Naruto. One piece is longer than Naruto but doesn't look like it's going down the toilet like Naruto did after pain. (I start reading them after that because it was fastr than the anime and I wasn't hype anymore about what happen but I was too far in it to not see the end. GOD DID I REGRET IT.P)

 

I watch one piece every Saturday 10p.m on watchop and it still get my attention so I don't want to read it.

 

I actually watched it when it was on toonami years ago but dropped it to follow this crap :/ now they're alllllll the way past 700 chapters and I don't want to read it either, or start all over again and then try to differentiate between filler and manga :( I tried fairytail too and I was hooked but stopped only to focus on Naruto because of school work and exams too...but it really wasn't worth it in the end...now they're far up ahead too D:

Naruto's kid is going to grow up looking like a Hinata version of Naruko but have Hinata's personality. shoot me pls. This ending, why couldn't Sakura end up with anybody other than Sasuke. Please. Even Lee, at least he's a good person with a good heart that'll protect/love her. NH if it had to be done, fine, but SS, NO. It kittens on Sakura's character over the development of 700 chapters. I can't believe this.

Naruto's kids don't strike me as shy though..and I think they're twins...Himawari seems more polite and confident whereas Boruto seems more like part 1 Naruto..doing pranks and getting into trouble

Sakura really should have ended up with Naruto though :/ and Lee with Tenten (but I think they're together).

They didn't even have ANY resolution...no POAL reference...no chapter 3 reference...Sakura forgot ALL about her budding feelings for Naruto..it's almost like she used him then completely went back to her part 1 self...and I really hated her in part 1...it's like afterwards she just dropped Naruto and forgot about everything that ever happened between them..

 

I don't even blame Naruto for moving on to Hinata...but it's obvious now that Hinata was a silver medal..

 

and Sasuke...where was he going? o.O that was so odd..

If it really not kishi writing this mini series it just proves more that it not the end he wanted and also the reason he also didnt leave the publisher even when he was being forced to make this ending he couldnt because he under contract and their would sue him if he did.

Sorry but Sasuke was a loner all this time. He doesn't have feeling for anyone (except Naruto). He wanted to kill him for this reason. He said that killing Naruto would make him all alone. Sasuke never have hidden feeling for her. He didn't show any sign of hesitation when he was about to strike Sakura. SS canon is just plain bad writing period. SS fan are wrong to think that Sasuke have hidden feeling. Nothing support this theory. He never blush for Sakura, or even any women. Karin conveniently disappear from the 699-700 chapters. Sakura's reverting in a Sasuke's fan girl is convenient as well so that she wasn't avaible for Naruto. Naruto and Sakura never exchange 1 line of dialog during those 2 chapters. Ino's never tried to get Sasuke (so much for beating Sakura's at romance and Sakura's never comfort Ino for her father's loss or Choji comfort Shikamaru's for his. )

 

Only show Naruto comfort Hinata. Felt too forced and it was just plain bad writting there.
