Sasuke drops down at her side and she greets him with a joyous smile and a blush (different from scuff marks as they are horizonal just below the eyes, while the scuff marks seen in other panels are vertical and shown more as cross hatching). It certainly acknowledges that Sasuke is indeed her love interest (as in she still retains feelings of love for him and definitely continues to appear interested).

 

What do you guys think?

Im in camp she has romantic feelings for both boys. Have been for quite some time now

 

Anywho, you have to remember her last few encounters with Sasuke were very bad. Lethal. She attempted to kill him, failed and then he was inches away from killing her. I think she was just happy to see Sasuke was truly on their side. That he cared to spend the energy necessary to save her. 

 

She knows Naruto would come to her aid no matter what.

Sasuke, not so much. 

 

If you go back to the pages  after and close to the premier of that chapter, you will probably find some other interpretations of the scene.  Last I remember some people thought it was blush marks, others did not, so on , so on. 

 

Either way, Sakura has blushed in response to Naruto before as well. They can argue that not all blushes = romance, but that's exactly what Im arguing here (:

I'm thinking you shouldn't call Soulfire elderly even if it is true lol, Soul is articulate but will never change her mind even though her theories have been proven wroong by Kishimoto time after time she is a great lady though I kind of like her even though I disagree with her. she is a classy person much better than the regular trolls you find at OM, what a pity I used to love that site for talking about other manga.

It's called overthinking, and at this point it feels just sad. Blush or not Sakura is not meant to end with Sasuke. The most they can hope for at this point is for an open ending that will keep things ambiguous, but I think Kishi will try to go for actual canon confirmation of a couple and that will be NS thanks to story, development, and themes.

 

Also, they seem to ignore that Sakura herself told Naruto in the next panel that he was overreacting to the little details, showing that it meant nothing to her either. And that now Sakura is unconsciously suspicious of Sasuke, thus further proving that her happiness of having Sasuke back was just temporary nostalgia.

She was happy before tha, scene, she was happy because she fullfilled her wish, the rest is just overthinking.

No yea shes right... Sasuke the villain/anti hero (w.e u wanna call him) is going to throw out all his development forget everything hes done and is trying to do all while gaining a new found love to Sakura (someone he hasnt seen or talked to in yrs) then hes going to settle down with her in the leaf village and restart the uchia clan.

 

While Naruto the protagainist, the guy with his name on the manga is going to ultimately loose his love and you know lets throw in the hokage seat to Sasuke, even though time and time again he's proven everyone wrong, yea shes right...

I think we are all overthinking the meaning tom Sakura's fake smile. TBH i've been engrossed in FT recently and i have been skipping over a lot of what you guys are saying because of overthinking.

 

However i can agree that Sakura is damaging her character by not accepting how she truly feels about both boys.

I dont know why but i srsly cant think of an scenario where this can happen, i think i prefer to think that she already get over from Sasuke, or this si resolved and etc...

Because for this to be resolved on panel, no matter what happens she will get over Sasuke because he's evil, because if even Sasuke becomes good, Konoha will never accept him back and not only that the others also dont like him, it's kinda unlogic for someome to love somebody who's hated by everyone because of his action and you distrust this guy for a long time and only bought pain to you.

And also Sakura put both Naruto and Sasuke on a balance before the war arc and concluded that Naruto is a better guy than Sasuke, and despite having feelings for Sasuke she choose Naruto.

She'd give too many reasons why she's in love with Naruto and for me it was a clear message that despite not being completely in love with Naruto she acknowledge her feelings for Naruto strong enough to see him on a romantic light and accept the idea of having a romance with him.

That's why i feel when Kishi said that she was honest on her confession because didnt matter if the love you is genuine or not, what matters is that after so many chapters she embraced the idea of a romance with Naruto something that Tsunade only saw that after 50+ years with Jiraiya.
I dont think she's confused about her feelings for both of boys, i just think that she is not completely in love wiht Naruto but it's something that it's in progress and needs a final blow for it to flourish.

I feel the same way, but I have faith in Kishi. You can look at it the other way as well though, she still has feelings for sasuke even though hes bad, so it will take a much stronger and real love and mean oh so much more when she realizes she loves naruto

In a way yes, but at the same time no.

 

I would be disgusted if Sakura considers what she feels for both Naruto and Sasuke to be the same. It has been repeated time and time again the joy that her love for Naruto brings her while at the same time her love for Sasuke is shown to be less than stellar.

 

She can love both but she must realize there's a big difference with the type of love she feels for each. She needs to understand that what she kept feeling for Sasuke was more familiar than romantic but didn't understand it before. And that conclusion should be drawn thanks to her further understanding of her love for Naruto.

 

It's like in Jiraiya's novel, the novel-Sakura there was asked to close her eyes and think about what makes her happy, and the image of novel-Naruto is what came to her mind. That made her realize how novel-Naruto was the one and not novel-Sasuke. That what she felt for novel-Naruto was different and more strong when compared to novel-Sauske.

 

I don't think you would want to be with someone that was in love with you but at the same time had the exact same love for another person. Please try to see it from that perspective. I bet you would want them to have those feelings for you and only you. It's fine if they cared for the other, but not in the same romantic way they do for you.

 

Sakura concluding that what she feels for Naruto and Sasuke is the same is not cute or endearing, it's an insult to Naruto considering how different the development with each boy has been. Sakura's development with Naruto is about understanding how a true close relationship develops towards love, it's not about acquiring a substitute for her previous affection towards Sasuke.

I don't think her love is equal. I think she doesn't realize her love at all for Naruto or at least the level of it. If she does, she would already know the deal. Remember, love plot must be on screen; therefore, we are still in undetermined stage. That said it's most likely that she loves him far greater than Sasuke, but again, she needs to recap.
