I just hope the romance conflict can be solved soon.

 

We're basically just waiting for Sakura to say that she realized how her love for Sasuke has become more of a kindness towards a close friend than something romantic. Which would follow by her explaining that Naruto is everything she ever wished for and that only now she realized it.

 

I think I would get a headache if the romance conflict is not done before "The Last". You don't just simply make Kakashi state that Sakura's feelings have become platonic and then have it still be an issue years later within the story. That's just a fail.

It's bad enough as it is that it's taking this long for them to become official when it should have happened years ago. It's why idc if Kishi does decide to have an open ending.

I feel like we'll have a confirmation pretty soon. Since it's only just team 7 and the Edo Kages right now, this would be the perfect time for them to get their feelings for each other sorted out. Hopefully it happens by the next two chapters.

Exactly. At this point Sakura not resolving her feelings is becoming more of a nuisance to the plot. Kishi needs to have the romance done with so that the more important plot points (becoming Hokage, Naruto vs Sasuke) can have our full attention.

 

I have a really strong feeling it's going to be resolved before the movie airs. Especially with Team 7 together and what's going on right now, seems like the perfect set up. I don't think we'll get a kissing scene or something as dramatic as that, but a hug/forehead scene. It'd suck if Naruto and Sakura are in their 20's and still haven't talked about their relationship/feelings.

 

That would truly be beyond stupid, especially after what Kishi did in 675 with Kakashi saying that Sakura's love for Sasuke is now platonic.
