Amen to that and the refusal of refunds once fans learned the truth about the movie.

And yet SP still cant admit that not only did they screw up, but also played favourites. 😞

They are just too stubborn to do it.
They at least won't acknowledge their mistake openly. The fact that they have tried to bait us back into the fandom with NaruSaku-esque content, whether it pertained to Naruto/Sakura or Boruto/Sarada (which is a discount NaruSaku) is an indication that they know that Hinata is not as popular or profitable as they wished to believe.
Light and Shadow are the only static creations of this universe.

Yeah, even if they did it doesn’t change anything. It will make them look worse, it may make us feel better to varying degrees but again, doesn’t change anything. I, for one will not be baited to support this piece of trash again just because I got what I wanted, regardless of whether they own up to their mistakes. I may chuckle a bit and call karma when Boruto bites the dust but I’ve wasted enough of my supporting This now soulless series and the Hinata wankers That ruined it, and I also wasted enough of my time raging at its own stupidity when I could be doing or enjoying something else.

I hear rumours that some naruto/boruto merchandise has upset some from south koren fans or artists by having some designs based on the taisho era.
Fr? That's dumb. Unless they somehow reenacts colonization plots or whatever.

Any leads to confirm or deny these rumors or any extra details? Any examples you could find? Where did you hear these rumors from?
...Can't find anything. What. Do they have them dress up in old imperial military uniforms, old post-meiji revolution samurai outfits, or the old imperial flag in the background.
Wait. I know, 'its a role play with the South Koreans depicted as the Branch Clan members and there being beaten up by Boruto and his all his relatives.'

In that case I'd get it.

...It is just Meiji-Taisho era clothing. Just because they conquered Korea during that time doesn't mean everything is anti-Korean and pro-Japanese Imperialism. Demon Slayer and Ronin Kenshin are based around that time period so is a lot of other Japanese and even western media. Just because some bad happened during that time doesn't mean you're not allowed to depicted that time period or else you couldn't depict anything from any time period; even the present.
We had no context other then Koreans were upset about Naruto-Boruto merchandise. I was asking for more details because we had barely anything to go off of. If it just clothing, then, that's nothing, they been doing that for years for all time periods in various IPs. If it was depicting beating up Koreans then, there is a problem since clearly someone in marketing has gone insane.
So, the characters are team 7, Shikamaru (the most prominent secondary character,) and Bolt and Cups from the sequel. Bolt clearly because they have to and Cups because this is probably merchandise from the anime and because of the anime he got a lot of focus because they didn't have Nail for 200 episodes.
Also, it is clear that Salad is being side-lined in the anime. They aren't confident enough to go full Clone but they are probably pushing it.

I saw Karin and Shikamaru merchandise on top of the usual Team 7, where's Hinata? /s
Hinata / NH doesn't sell. Only delusional shippers would say otherwise. Remember the flopped merchandise related to The Last?
To be fair to that part of the merchandise. That part is the Akatsuki vs team 7 and team Snake/Hawk. So she isn't in that Grouping while Karin is.
The taisho era stuff yeah that's damning since like their summer fun last year being team 7, 10, and Zabuza and Haku; there is no reason not to have her other then they know she won't sell. Its also damning that neither Nail or Salad are there as well. Since, it the old main cast and the most important secondary character (in part due to slowly taking over the role of one of the main cast once she wasn't allowed to be involved as much anymore) 5 in total against half the new cast the sequel main character and his former best friend till the rival showed up; they clearly don't think the new rival and the love interest as a profitable as those two/seven.

The thing is, South Korea banned Japanese cultural products until around 1998 iirc. Anime, manga, TV shows, books, it was illegal to import them from Japan, in large part due to South Korea's history with the country. Even after the ban was lifted, there are still restrictions in place. If things are considered too Japanese, or seen as too insulting to South Korea (like Heltalia's depiction of the country), then they will still be banned or censored. Samurai often fall victim to this, such as Samurai Sentai Shinkenger being skipped over for this reason, or Mitsurugi being replaced with a character called Arthur in Soul Calibur
That and the Japanese refuse to admit to the things they did as Imperial Japan and apologize for it. I mentioned this in the past, but a lot of the people who were in charge of Imperial Japan also were in charge of it post-WWII. People who should have been tried for war crimes and yakuza were put into power, in large by the West to help stop the spread of communism, and because of that their culture can't discredit those individuals. After all, they built modern Japan. This has led to the Japanese being pretty damn ignorant of what they did during those years, instead clinging to a victim narrative of "America made us do things," and leads to the calls of the far right there to reinterpret the constitution and remilitarize.
Like, there was that one isekai where the MC is implied to be a reincarnation of a real Japanese prince who committed war crimes in Manchuria, killing 3000 Chinese. The book was picked up, sold, adapted into a manga and was going to be an anime before people outside of Japan caught on and called them out on it. Then the author's racist (because Japanese people can be really racist) tweets against the Chinese was found out, leading to the franchise to get cancelled.
So, there is some real baggage here.
Just making your day a little brighter.

Fair enough. But I still think just clothing from that time period isn't that offensive.
Though it would be funny if this led to South Korea banning Boruto. Since, South Korea is the (sweet)workshop of the animation world and SP has been using those animation companies for years to animate Naruto-Boruto. If for some reason they couldn't uses those South Korean animation companies anymore and had to do it entirely on their own. Their workload would increase immensely while the quality of the Boruto anime's animation would drop significantly in quality.
