Lmao, I still love Sakura. I could care less about what haters/Kishimoto think of her. Canon doesn't mean sh**t now anyways, so why should I acknowledge it
Agreed. I happily reject canon. In my head, NS is still going strong and Sakura and Naruto aren't worthless people.

So, Apparently Japan loves the boruto movie???
Are they deliberately giving it great ratings because the Last was so bad in comparison or something ?
A rating of 4.74/5 on Yahoo Movies?? really ??
Is the extra Sasuke relevance the cause ? (I'm well aware of how popular Sasuke and SasuSaku is in JP
)
Also, apparently, there's a tag team fight with Nardo and Sauce that they say was really epic
Seems that they were successful in baiting back some of the NaruSasu/SNS fans.
Why can't this franchise die already
The rating is high because
a) most people who watched are people who still indentify themselves with the Naruto franchise, thus they ended up victims of the nostalgia the movie pushed onto them
b) SNS relationship, with focus on Sasuke must've brought back some Sasuke fans who were unhappy with the last
c) lack of focus on Hinata and Sakura
Overall, it's still a bad movie, the villain was as bad as the one from the last, the plot was nonsensical and the technology angle was awfully weird, it's just that people seeing the movie with nostalgia tinted glasses and with the comparisions with the even more awful movie, the last, have been helping Boruto a lot
Truth of it, Chi? Hima is bland compared to Sarada.

Well it's already Tuesday and surely SP had no problem spreading the world out to the world on the fourth day that the Bolt film made more than five million in its first 3 days. So I don't see the hold up.Those come out on tuesday.

So any guess on the sale then? I'll go with estimated 600,000. Just to be safe. It is like a new volume, more so than a normal spin-off. Not to mention, it has that movie boost.
Rocci says that it's a success if it's this somewhere near this number...do you agree?
I think it may eventually turn around 400K or something like that

Later today or tomorrow then.
Bolt made 680 million yen and because the us dollar has been dropping like a stone in recent years it made over 5 million dollars due to the exchange rate.

Apparently Ino had to protect Hinata and Himawari(though that's just going by the screen caps);
sorry spoilers aren't working.

More or less. It's more of just business. If it was like too high than their own thoughts, they may reconsidered. For example, DBZ latest movie spoke to them that these guys want more DBZ. It didn't just pass the last movie by 100,000,000 yen it did well over it. For Naruto, well, I guess it has to be more than they think. Kishi is done, so only option to do it themselves. Will they? Perhaps, but the original author's name is very needed to continue on without backlash.

Anyway, it should do more than they expect, whatever that may be. It's cheat of them that these old generation still play a dominant role, so it is hard to say, "New generation is a sell." It's like actually focusing on Pan, but Goku did everything, how can we know she's money? New Era is treated like a special anniversary, like Death Note special chapter, DBZ Battle of Gods, and so on. So to me, I think they will do fine. Maybe not as high as the last couple of volumes, or rather last one, but high. It also helps that finale means more care of the fans. Why else last volume always get a huge increase.

Oh thanks for that, so I guess it made 5 miilion dollars with the exchange rate...it's basically the same or even worst than the last in the first few days

It's one of those hard to say because the New Era was more target to how are our main character's life as adult with children being involved more so than, children completely taken over. Gaiden, people know about it because it was not in a special magazine, rather the most popular one, so everyone knows it. Movie does boost up sales, so expect something out of it. It has a lot to help Gaiden sell like a normal volume, if it does that is. The main focus is the ongoing progress, to see where it lands.
Oh thanks for that, so I guess it made 5 miilion dollars with the exchange rate...it's basically the same or even worst than the last in the first few days
Thanks for the insight. I thought Gaiden would sell crap, but it might be busted due to the movie
I must admit, it is clever to sell on the week where you can only think what if since it has a lot to back them up, starting with releasing the movie with Gaiden. From what I heard, Haikyuu was selling more than Naruto until movie release. Now, you can only know by following it until it's out of the chart. But the most clever part is the weekend opening. The Last opened with only two days. Boruto opened all 3 day weekend.
In short, in all honesty, it's really hard to tell the stand of the fans with the series. The criteria, the timing, and so on made it difficult for me to understand the position. I mean you can understand some like fans not liking that pairing or liking that, or what it takes to like this movie and so on. It's just really hard to pick up.

The power of forgiveness in this manga is insane!. It doesn't matter how many people you murdered, doesn't matter how many times you hurt someone. Just say 'IM SORRY' and you'll become as clean as a newborn child without sins ...
And the thing is, it's not really the forgiveness itself that's the problem, but the constant idea of forgiveness WITHOUT responsibility that's the problem.
It's perfectly fine to find some way to forgive even the worst of monsters like Orochimaru, Kabuto, Madara, even Sasuke, etc., however, to simply forgive them without having them take responsibility for the horrible things they did sends the completely wrong message.
It's the same kind of thinking faux "religious" people use in thinking they can be as hateful, hypocritical, homophobe, xenophobic, etc. as they want and no one can speak ill of them for it - "God will always forgive me, so it's perfectly okay for me to <insert whatever> even though it's a huge sin since God will wipe the slate clean!" pretty much.
Or Kishi could simply replace Sasuke with Dylan Roof (the Charleston Church shooter) and Kakashi with a court judge, and having Roof simply say, "Yeah...sorry...", and the judge just let's him off scot-free. If such a thing were to happen in real life, a bunch of cities would be burning.
So, Apparently Japan loves the boruto movie???

As James brought up before, it's probably more along the very flawed thinking that Boruto is somehow "good" simply because "it isn't 'The Last'", as if that alone justifies the crap that the Boruto movie still is.

Oh guys I just found this not sure if anyone will care or like it.
Weekend Box Office: "Boruto" Can't Reach "Jurassic World," "Mission Impossible 5"
Boruto -Naruto The Movie-, the latest anime film from Masashi Kishimoto's ninja action franchise, finally released on 268 screens across Japan last weekend. It earned about 680 million yen (about 5.47 million US dollars) on 516,000 admissions in its first three days (115.1 percent of The Last -Naruto The Movie released in December 2014), breaking the highest opening record in the anime franchise. However, it had to settle for the third spot, behind the two latest Hollywood blockbusters, Jurassic World on first and Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation on second.
Meanwhile, last week's winner, the first part of the Attack on Titan live-action films directed by Shinji Higuchi, dropped sharply to fifth position as expected. The current rash of very negative reviews on the film may hurt the box-office potential for the upcoming second film to be released on September 19.
