Actually rechecking the site you posted they had the episode 2 Raws there as well, it covers the rising stars meeting the elite 10, which I find somewhat strange as the trailer for season 3 also shows them covering the same chapters.

 

Does anyone know how many episodes this season will be? I can't see it ending at a good spot if they end at 12 episodes, but 24 episodes would likely mean they'll catch up with the manga, by the time the series is over.so we could be in for a long wait for any future series.

12 episodes is worrying, as this arc is really long (and still on going.), if you consider the Autumn leaf viewing chapter the beginning of the Azami arc, we have around 115 chapters for the Azami arc, making it almost have of the chapters of the manga being about this arc and definitely more than half by the time this is over.

 

Which surprises me as I didn't think this arc was going on for so long, I thought it was only a year not two years already, definitely not been two years of riveting and memorable content.

 

If it's only 12 episodes they'll likely only cover the content up until the battle for star dorm, or that battle against those wannabe elite 10 members.

Well, this is the point where she goes from being the main antagonist(or at least as a representative of the school, which could also be seen as the main antagonist) to the love interest.

 

Also it's best to make it clear that it is happening as plain as day. So they don't get any complaints later on like Bleach or get someone trying to force another character (Megumi) into that role later on like Naruto.

true enough, the moments after this are pretty blatant to say the least. But more than that I want to see more of her cooking. Hopefully if it can come down to it she will take a proactive role in the next round

Up until this arc most people knew that SoumaXErina was going to happen (granted everyone should have known that, but some people are Megumi fanatics). Eventually, but nothing really happened yet. Like I said earlier; "the only two things Azami has accomplished as the villain is letting the group fight the elite ten before the seniors graduate, and kick-start the SoumaXErina romance."

 

...Well, hopefully it will focus on her cooking. Since we have never actually seen her do so. If the rebels win this round I see next round Souma and Erina fight off against the top two.

It's still not computing that the voice actor for Erina has changed, it doesn't help they went for  someone who usually voices the chibi characters so it doesn't really fit the character. I also think the Voice of Rindou is a bit off as well in the OVA's, which surprises me as I do think the VA they selected is ideal for the role.

 

The first episode wasn't too bad, it doesn't look like they are going to rush the episodes and mess up the entire flow of the series, that second season was a real mess.

*Sigh* looks like Eizen still hasn't grown since his defeat, he's still the A-hole he was before, if anything he is even worst, and if Aldini loses, the mangaka will face a backlash not just because of Eizen's tactics, but because it would mean Aldini lost in similar circumstances again.

My god Eizan facial expression is really ruin my appetite for this manga , it's already way pass disgusting line for me. I really hope the author not overdo it with these disgusting facial expression , there's literally tons of way to show how evil a character is but it seems like the author choose to show it through this. Seriously i NEVER EVER think about punching my monitor in my entire life , but for the first time it finally cross my mind because of Eizan faces , it's funny when i think about it , kind of amaze me how the author able to make that part of me surface. Anyway AS ALWAYS the dish that's going to be taste first it's pretty much gonna lose , typical this author formula.

I agree. Takumi HAS to win. All the growth otherwise for Takumi goes out of the window. This situation right now mirrors Takumi's battle with Subaru during the Autumn arc election by using mean and cheap tactics.

Actually I can see Megumi losing, however it would have to be a defeat where Momo acknowledges Megumi, and call her Megumi-chan instead of the Megumyan, As Isshiki pointed out she gives those she looks down with a cute nickname. So the manga has left a opening for Megumi to lose but still be considered awin for her development.

 

Eizen pretty much hasn't left any of the sort opennings, so has to be defeated. As for Souma part of me does want to see him lose, but then it would mean the Samurai-sempai would be in three battles in a row, which might be over kill.
