Okay I have a serious bone to pick with SEGA. As you guys well know I'm a die hard Virtua Fighter fanatic. Well there's a version of VF5 only out in Japan and that is Virtua Fighter 5:R. So far SEGA has not announced a console release and it's pissing me off to no end! To quote one of my friends on VFDC "I need VF5R like a hoe on payday". Rumor has it that SEGA just might announce a console release at this year's Tokyo Game Show but I wouldn't get my hopes up. If they don't announce VF5R for consoles soon, I'll have to commit the cardinal sin when it comes to VF. And that my friends will be to convert to Tekken 6: Blood Rebellion. Now Tekken isn't a bad game but I prefer VF when it comes to the fighting aspect. I don't want to do this but since SEGA doesn't care about me or any other VF players outside of Japan and will continue to give us the middle finger, I'll have to jump ship. Oh and one more thing F*** YOU SEGA!

As much as I played Virtua Fighter, Sega had done this before with skipping an update before the next sequel. Right after 4: Evolution was released for PS2, they had released 4: Final Tuned for the arcades with more moves, more customizations and updated stages. So if Sega doesn't release 5R, then don't have a fit about it. Just wait until 6 comes out.

Xbox 360 Price Drop

Again, this is only a rumor (albeit probably true...), the Pro Model is being phased out. So in a few more months, all 360s left on shelves will be the 120 GB model, and will be 299.99.



The supposed PS3 slim (probably a render) shown on a Hong Kong video game mag. But if the rumors are true, we'll be phasing out the PS3 regular model and getting a slim model. (The pictures look ugly, I prefer the rendered version on this magazine.)

Yes I know gamers prefer other fighting games but think about how much good SEGA could do if they took a page out of Namco's book and actually promoted their game. I'm pretty sure the VF series would get a big boost in popularity and draw in more gamers. Here's how they do it.

1. Put in a training mode just like VF4:EVO.
2. Put a whole lot more effort into the story.
3. Use cutscenes and character ending movies upon completion of a characters story mode.
4. Actually have the guts to give the western markets the same attention they give their market in Japan.

Hmm, does the Slim have backwards compatibility? Just in case, you know...my 60GB PS3 goes awry. That and my PS2's pretty much dead.
