-sigh- Finally, this arc is almost over. It has been boring the piss out of me. I mean, it was cool seeing Whitebeard and all his allies, but really that dragged on way to much. Luffy get back to the rest of your crew while making sweet, sweet love to Boa.

Ace and Luffy are an awesome team, for sure. Their teamwork is impeccable. Even the enemy was commenting on it! That's impressive.

I wonder what's going to happen next, though. It seems like the arc is just about over, what with Ace being free and Whitebeard trashing the Military base with his Earthquake powers. Are we going to get a reunion arc for the Straw Hats? And what about the Whitebeard pirates? Without Whitebeard, they need a new leader. Ace, perhaps? Or are they going to back Luffy as the new pirate king?

The one thing I didn't like about this arc is the number of splash pages. Used up room that could have been used on furthering the story faster. Oh well.

I don't know if Luffy and Ace will let Whitebeard fight alone. The old man thinks he can just sacrifice himself for the two most stubborn pirates on all the seas, but I'm not so sure. Of course, Whitebeard can't go all out with his powers with any of his "children" around, as he's crazy powerful. How much Haki have we seen him use in this fight? With Haki and the full power of his ability without fearing for his crew, I'm pretty sure Whitebeard can put up quite the fight. XD

Either everyone except Whitebeard escapes, or Luffy and Ace stays with him. My theory is that Luffy demands to stay, but Ace knocks him out or orders him to come. Luffy is pissed at Ace for choosing to leave, Ace is all snot and tears since he's the one who wanted to stay the most, but respected Whitebeard's orders to the bitter end.

I must have missed something. Care to explain what you mean by different levels? Like Luffy's gears, or the overall power accessible from the Logia fruit? If it's the latter, then that has been obvious for a long long time, but if you meant different levels like Luffy's levels, then I'm not following.

Anyone smell a huge blast of angry Haki next chapter? There's three people in the same battle with the King's Disposition Haki, which could mean more smallfry will fall quickly. Luffy should totally learn more about this power after this battle, IF HE SURVIVES

I meant one Logia being stronger than another. And yeah, I probably should have known already, but it's never really been shown until now. Logia users haven't really fought each other before now, and the one time Smoker and Ace clashed, we didn't really see them fight. It's just not something I thought about before now.

Well it's not really a different level it's just Akainu has "Magma" Logia and Ace has "Fire". I think it just boiled down to who had the hotter flame and it would be obvious that Magma> Normal Fire.

The chapter starts with everyone astonished.
Garp tells Sengoku he better stop me now, or I will kill Sakazuki.
Sengoku does so. Marco and Vista attacks Akainu.
Akainu says Haki users eh? This is troublesome, and attacks Ace again. Jinbei stops the attack.
flashback of Ace and Luffy. Ace says he misses even someone like Dadan now, thanks for the love he recieved.
The vivre card burns out. Luffy is seen with exp​ression never seen before. end.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but those spoilers have been confirmed to be true. The chapter does end on a classic One Piece cliffhanger though, if I'm to believe the script. Not that Ace is important to the overall story, but I just can't see him dead before he could fight Luffy's crew at the end of the Grand Line, so I feel a Chiyo-moment coming up soon.

Ace leans on Luffy,

Marco is freed by Mr3, and Marco and Vista both attack Akainu.

Unless this turns out to be a flashback chapter, I don't buy it. A good way to awoke Luffy to get angry and gain some new powers is what it seems like to me.

I hope Luffy unleashes the full powers that hidden within him to tear Akianu apart. I hope Whitebeard does something to but this was a epic tear chapter.

I really liked this chapter, easily one of my favorites. The emotions were damn great and Ace's final words were fantastic. Oda really knows how to set the tone for such a chapter. Luffy is going to be super pissed now...Devil Luffy incoming? Shall be awesome. Though honestly I miss the rest of the crew who I want back.

I have a feeling Ace will be revived somehow. Two arcs and all this build up to save Ace and he dies? He'll be back.

Um....Jiaraya and Itachi? Kishi doesn't have a problem killing charactors just not Konoha 12, which like Straw Hat crew always survived.

This was probably my favourite chapter ever, can't wait to see it in Anime form, I thought when the Straw Hats lost to Kuma and got separated was on another level but the way that Ace died specially after all the trouble Luffy went through, drastically shortening his own life to get to him, only for him to die in his arms was....wow, I don't think I can put it into words.

It's funny how only a few weeks ago I was still in the school of thought that Oa never killed any off any of his charactors so he can reuse them later, but boy when he does kill a charactor off he pulls out all the stops and does it by killing the person that's closest to him probably more so than his nakama.

I can't wait for next week, poor bloke has to get over this and still find his nakama who are all over the place...though I have the feeling that they'll probably all make their way to the island themselve by the time Luffy arrives. Wouldn't surprise me, that we'll get a couple more week of this and Oda will shift to the other team and how they make it back to the island.

Hats off to Oda, his story just gets better and and beter.

Hmph, out of all the characters he could have killed off, just had to be Jiraiya. Oda doesn't really have a problem killing people off, so I am fairly certain Ace is gone.
