Naruto holding someone accountable for their actions once in his life.
Nice Joke.

wow i did the same with op too. but with naruto i just skimmed until i reached the 4th to last page showing Naruto in bijuu mode launching a rasengan. i know I missed some content since i seen some panels of the lastest chapter posted in threads that i can't recognize. of course i didn't bother reading it because i don't care about this fight at all.
You missed nothing all it did was reiterate the past conflict of how Naruto doesn't understand Sasuke because he never lost anyone but he does now because he lost Jiraiya, (and I guess you can argue he lost his parents again after he met them and got to know them for a bit) and how Sasuke is still his closest friend. So nothing we hadn't been shown a few dozen times already.

Thnx. If the title of the next chapter is "Naruto and Sasuke 3" then I won't even bother reading it.

Probably the next chapters, except for a chapter or half a chapter to see Sakura and the others, will be dedicated to Naruto and Sasuke with fight and TnJ

Tbh, I wasn't too impressed with the art. I mean, for the big epic ending battle, the illustrations were not as dynamic as I would have expected. A lot of parallel scenes, a lot of staring each other down. Some explosions. There's nothing in the panels that makes you think "final fight" — in fact, taken individually, you could switch out a lot of the scenes with battle scenes from earlier in the novel without a problem. And that's a problem.
Even the flashbacks don't elaborate on situation between them. No new angles, no close ups. No Naruto's baby fat, no Sasuke wihout the burden of years. Just the same ol' images. Only new information came in the form of the spiderweb-covered kitchen.
I would hope to see new angles of Naruto and Sasuke, closeups, collateral damage and maybe even crazy new moves, born out of desperation.
Not being harsh...maybe there's more to come. Kishi can work some riveting illustrations, and since this is the end, I don't think it's wrong to hope to be on the edge of my seat. But with only four chapters left, I'm ratcheting down my expectations.
Just surprised the art was not more dynamic and out-of-the-box. Don't know if anyone else felt the same.
My thoughts exactly. This is the fight, which has been foreshadowed and build up over much of the manga, and it's so lackluster. The art doesn't stand out, the choreography of the fighting itself does not stand out and the flashbacks provide no new insights into either character or their oh-so-important bond. I keep wanting to hope for Kishimoto to do something with these final chapters to grip me, but so far, nothing.

694..Finally!
And.. 695
what does the 693 one say?

Well, in Kishi's defense, I'd imagine working on the same story for more than a decade would take its toll on a guy...
Studio Pierrot has been animating Naruto for a little over 12 years now. When are their teams going to put their collective feet down and say that enough is enough? I know, these are employees at a company, so the circumstances are different. But is it wrong to assume that some of their older animators and writers that have been working on this series have grown weary of the Naruto universe? Or is the studio going to replace them with new members as Kishi hands off the reigns for his brainchild to these people?

Oda has been working on OP even longer and so far everything is going smoothly.

True, but it is his profession. Teachers and professors don't get fed up of teaching the same thing every year..or maybe they do
Kishi has done a wonderful job with his manga overall, I just wish he had given himself more time to give a better and slower paced ending though.

I don't read One Piece. Given your description of the series, it sounds like Oda has a bigger drive to continue writing for his story in the original format that it was conceptualised for instead of handing it off to whatever studio handles the anime. He deserves some props for his dedication imo.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

i d be really disappointed as well . but i agree with u there is a possibility for NH . if kishi wants sakura to always loves sasuke.then naruto must let her go at a point and after that even if its after a while . naruhina .happens . it will ruin the story for me but its a possibility .and i can endure anything except narusasu.
![]()
yeah . they seem to get everything right except when it comes to narusaku.
.
he said ina filler that even if she isn't his he will watch over her and still love her from a distance (not exact quote obviously) but i take it as canon because that's exactly what naruto would do. i don't know how he can love hinata out of nowhere and sakura .. love is a complicated thing but i don't see it likely at all especially with 4 chapters remaining there is little to no chance of him returning hinata's feelings at this point in time and the same goes for sakura unless something significant were to happen. i'm actually going to guess that in the last panels sakura will realise who it really was in chapter 3. and the movie might solve the pairings for good (im unsure if time-skip.)
