For everybody that is freaking out, remember when 615 happened, people were screaming canon and the VERY NEXT chapter, it showed that nothing happened. It is the same thing. Hinata was finally acknowledged by Naruto in 615 and Sakura is finally getting her acknowledgment from Sasuke. Meaning that Kishi is just bringing everything into a full circle, so that NS can finally be canon! Cheer up and just sit and let the SS fans enjoy their "moment" that we all knew was going to happen.

Yep. I couldn't agree more. Let the fellow SS fans enjoy their 'moment'. We shouldn't pour water in their parade. We also sort of predicted this will happen aren't we?

I think it's a great chapter to show Sakura's determination. I also appreciate more on Obito 'being Yamato' with his comment than anything else. It's these subtle hints that made me appreciate NS more. Naruto wasn't conscious when Sakura gave him the kiss of life. Sakura wasn't aware of how much Naruto would sacrifice to keep her smile. Selflessness. That's one of the beauty of NS.

I think next chapter will focus back on fighting Kaguya or the Edo hokage. Let's see...

I mean considering that the NH fandom uses that stupid argument that Naruto should pick Hinata because she has bigger boobs, it would just be funny that all along she actually has more endowed than the viewers thought. Especially in the anime with the fillers talking about her being flatchested.

i just felt it has some significance aside from stripping Sakura

I have to say this... the panel where Sasuke held Sakura is a poor paiting... The panel of NS hug or Naruto bridal saving scene at the bridge were much better drawned... I don't say because I'm a NS fan... Sasuke looks too tight and Sakura's body looks a bit masculine...

 i think i calmed myself now cause i suddenly have a hilarious headcanon..what if next chapter sasuke handles sakura to obito ,and maybe obito will even carry sakura bridal style ,because sasuke will be on his way to find naruto and return to the battle..obito and sakura have prety much done their job now..i think if obito holds sakura the same way sasuke held her or carries her bridal style,it would disqualify this ss moment from any romantic undertone and it would be a big troll for ss..

With colouration skills like that and some convient rearranging of panels, I could definitely see the romantic appeal in that moment. Just shove aside everything else that came in-between these "heartfelt" expressions, align the panels where it seems like they're all conveying a single instance in time,  and then you've got a romantic subtextual scenario.

 

Sarcasm aside, whoever editted those panels did a very good job. But that's the extent of my own approval for the imagery. Because I don't see the same intimacy as some disheartened members might (the majority know how to maintain their composure in the face of these less than desireable moments). What I do see is a shocked expression for the distortion in space-time, Sakura mentally willing Sasuke to make a run for his only escape route, and a facial exchange using heavy-lidded eyes.

 

I can see weariness, relief, and maybe even a little disbelief for having succeeded coming from Sakura's eye. Sasuke? Indifference, a hesitancy to be too expressive, or it could be looked at as silent approval for Sakura's show of arms. We've seen that expression from others before. The horizontal gazing of the eye off to the side. It's the same look that Naruto gave when he rescued Sakura from Sasuke and when Obito was debating the responsibilities of an Hokage with Naruto. It could mean a myriad of things depending on the mindset of the character in question and the situation. With Sasuke, it's either indifference or grudging approval.

 

Don't let these things override your judgement. Judging the plot on a chapter-by-chapter basis has its merits, but you're only being given a portion of a full image. It's not representative of the whole plot. Whether or not Sasuke is beginning to see Sakura as a worthy teammate, that shouldn't cause someone to forget the 684 chapters of interaction, of Naruto and Sakura's lives becoming ever more entwined as they see more of the other in less of a bussinesslike perspective and more as close, very close companions who have shouldered each other's burdens and fought for the other's happiness since Part 1. That's a form of intimacy that I can't remember Sasuke ever having with anyone unless you count his brotherhood with Itachi.

@Inferno: the deal isn't about that, is about how Kishi likes to screw-things-up. Even moreso, with all the things you've listed, doesn't make sense... And not to mention but... aesthetically speaking, when did we had the last NS interaction that beautifully drawn?

I enjoyed this chapter very much. Sakura was a badass helping obito to open the dimension. Narutos stubbornness has rubbed off on her, she refused to rest. Was obito talking about naruto or sasuke in page 15? That part confused me. As for the sasusaku I sort of enjoyed seeing Sakura her acknowledgement from sasuke, she deserves it. As for the last page I don't really see any real romantic undertone from either one. Sasuke appeared behind her to catch her from passing out, and are people really freaking over the eye to eye contact? I didn't see anything soft in sasukes eyes, he just looked at her, and sakuras eyed were half closed due to exhaustion. And btw lip to lip contact >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> eye to eye contact. Over all nice chapter. I'm not worried about this moments because there wasn't much to it, I'm more worried about the other fandom getting a huge head and over exaggerating things. Like forneverworld, who says sasusaku is looking legit even and saying sasuke has realized his feelings for her. Like wtf? It's like he forgot all the negative moments between them and this one little catch showed that all of that is cured. That's the kitten Im worried other fandoms are gonna be spreading .

I think this is truly it for him. Well, very soon. I hope he does return to let Naruto know that he did what he said he was going to do. One thing for certain is what is the very next step. It's important to see what's next. Will there be anything to it or that's all she wrote? Lunch break is almost here. I'm going to write one long post.

Exactly! I mean this is nothing compared to chapters 662 and 663 (especially since it was a complete surprise) alone. So let the SS fandom enjoy their "moment" that we all knew was going to happen. And we can just enjoy the entire story and all the BEAUTIFUL NS moments we aleady have and will receive in the future!
