A tree. A god tree.
Hahahahahahahaha
Kishi, king of the arsepull
I don't think it's all that much of an asspull. It's just dumb.
Also, I thought for like, 2 seconds that the SO6P might turn out to be female Might. MAYBE. BUT NO, JUST A BABY INCUBATOR.
No, she's not. She's basis for the entire system every character has spent most of part 2 stomping on. She gave birth to a new method of warefare that is essential being as described a more brutal than the last.
It's worse than just a Baby Incubator.
So, can't a powerfull, goddess woman have a child? She was just a human before eating the knowledge chakra fruit, what makes her imperfect just because she had a baby? I really didn't get your point here. One thing is to say that because she was a woman, the world was destructed and blahblahblah, what does not happened. That would be sexist. If I'm not seeing something obvious, please, enlight me, coz' I really can't see it.
He doesn't use those words, but take a gander at the presentation.
Personally, I don't care at all about the sexist angle because the whole thing blows no matter the gender. At least Obito has a personal, potentially relatable motivation (even if the execution is a total disaster). Madara's is an impersonal generic one and I can't pretend to give a crap about it (outside of saying it sucks). It's not even a deep well thought out philosophy. It's thin, weak, and boring one.
Still, I imagine it's because she's being treated simply as the person who gave birth to the sage of six paths and nothing more. We get a name and an act and we move on. The person heralded all this time is not her, but her son. She's just the genesis of a method of warfare that is moments later being describe as worse than the previous one. It's a understandable decision on her part, but that's not how it's told.
What's moronic about the whole thing is that I couldn't care less where Shinobi came from and the plot is not better off for knowing. With the sole exception of Madara the problems currently faced have been the result of the system, not the existence of Shinobi themselves. All of these tragedies and the system don't seem to depend on the specific existence of Shinobi at all. Except for the superpowers, the war, the killing, and the suffering could (and did) happen despite ninja. So how is this better off knowing where Shinobi come from when it's never explained how the problems are dependent on their existence. So on top of being stupid it seems totally unnecessary. I'm seriously asking myself: "Who gives a crap?" At best, it's sets up the weak motivation for Madara.
As far as Sakura, she's the only one of Team 7 who is routinely used as canon fodder. When was the last time she contributed anything meaningful to the overall plot (not romantic subplot)?
Whole chapter is a cluster.
I don't know. Maybe next week will make this look better. Let's hope so.
