This. Is. Just. Retarded.

Kishi basically took a bastardized version of a bible fable and turned it in his manga. Really. REALLY?! IS THIS REAL LIFE??

Also, I thought for like, 2 seconds that the SO6P might turn out to be female Might. MAYBE. BUT NO, JUST A BABY INCUBATOR.

Also let's fodderize Sakura even more. Because there hasn't been arcs of that kitten already. I literally don't even care about the infinate tsukuomi because i am SO BEYOND SICK of this crap.

Does that mean Sasuke has one? Can he destroy a giant tree? I meant it huge! Also, how fast is the black flame can destroy?
I don't trust that guy though...

Madara is going to do his move soon.

He said he's the one who will perform the infinite tsukyomi so he's going to attack Obito sooner or later.

Well....

I'm on an island again it seems. I enjoyed the last few chapters and then we get this. It is was a nice run since the bewildering events in 615. All good things come to an end.

So...I guess the precursor to the Uchiha was astute enough to write this crap down. The one to the Senju...not so astute I guess.Or maybe some ancient ancestor dropped it, like Commandments 11-15 or maybe used it as a door stop and forgot about it or something.

So, this is why Madara gave up on the universe. And I thought Obito's reason was bad. I felt absolutely zip about Madara's disillusionment.

This is like the moment in an RPG where the plots going great and it suddenly dives off a cliff with a stupid plot twist. Like Star Ocean 3.

I just can't get excited like the rest of the thread. I thought this chapter was stupid.

In Star, I'm guessing you're talking about when they entered 4D space...

I'm actually playing the game now, so I understand how Nate feels a little.  I could not process how I felt when getting to that point in the game.  Naruto, on the other hand, I have no qualms where the story is going.

Wat, wat.

So, can't a powerfull, goddess woman have a child? She was just a human before eating the knowledge chakra fruit, what makes her imperfect just because she had a baby? I really didn't get your point here. One thing is to say that because she was a woman, the world was destructed and blahblahblah, what does not happened. That would be sexist. If I'm not seeing something obvious, please, enlight me, coz' I really can't see it.

Anyways, I don't know if someone have mentioned this here before, but have someone else remembered the Kaguya Clan? About Kimimaro and stuff... That clan... I wonder if this clan is a direct lineage from the Kaguya mentioned in the legend (or historical report).

My personal words regarding this chapter is FINALLY!!!!! THE CLIMAX IS HERE, GUYS!!! EVERYONE GET NAKED AND DANCE ON THE DESPAIRING ATMOSPHERE!! Aaaah, since when I don't get this excited about waiting for the next week to see a new chapter? Bring the end, Kishimoto! Come at me! My body is ready!

(And then, next week will not have anything special and will not have a chapter in the posterior week. Just for the Karma.)

How on earth is Kishi being sexist in this chapter? The sage was already established as male a long time ago, and confirmed again during Kurama's flashback as a kid fox. You shouldn't have any expectations of him turning out to be a girl.

Also, Kaguya was merely a baby incubator? Are you trying to make a joke or something? Need I remind you that she was responsible for ending the original human wars before the era of chakra? But no, her having the power and will to face thousands or even millions of people doesn't count for anything, she was just a baby maker.

Get real.

This is truly the climax of this war, everything is do or die at this point and this whole plan needs to be fast. It is obvious we are going into the last 7-10 chapters of this war arc. Now all kishi needs to do next chapter with the 21 pages that he has it to give everyone one thing. HOPE, possibly coming from knowledge of a way to stop this tree. Just some hope of any sort and something beyond incredible. The next chapter should be a great one, right now I don't know why so many people are mad because I'm loving this.

It's all up to Naruto but he's weak. That said how's he going to recover? I think all his Kuruma's chakra is gone, so now what. Minato must give a good amount but he even got some drained. Pretty much, I believe the next BM could be the last and must be ulitilize at the right time. Right now, he's out. He barely can move and this is bad.

The reward after the war will be grand because Naruto has to finish the fight and he is the final hope for everyone. Everyone is losing, losing hope, and dying. I can't wait how the ending would be. It will be grander than Pain arc. I can't wait for greatness.

Hopefully we get every bit of what we have been waiting for! Remember Naruto's nindo way?? That might come into play next chapter along with all the kages arrival this giving 'hope' to the alliance alongside Naruto's speech. Honestly I think since madara and hashi are talking, if they come up with a good conclusion and figure out a way to stop this together, it would be great also. We know obito doesn't physically have to be defeated honestly even though he will be. If they destroy the tree, or his plan, obito has no reason left to live and will give up nonetheless. I'm hoping for greatness.

Katuyu says Sakura-chan

NARUTOKATUYU.jpg

I see. Are there any other instances in which Katsuyu speaks directly to Sakura before that in the series? It can be manga or anime. I want to know how does Katsuyu refer to Sakura in those moments.

That could determine whether Kishi got confused in this chapter or the one with the picture.

Maybe Kishimoto became really aware that only Naruto can calls her as "Sakura-chan" and so he has changed into "Sakura-san" XD

I'm inclined to believe that might be the case, but I want to make sure just in case. If you find any instance of Katsuyu speaking to Sakura before those chapters let me know.

Im partial to thinking that Kishimoto sensei is heading in a cyclical direction. His use  of parallels to reinforce the basic narrative is a consistent one.

Its why Im beginning to think that Sasuke will end up reversing Narutos position in the beginning of the manga.

Its also why with this new revelation of Kaguya as the mother of all shinobi in a sense, we may see Sakura and Narutos child step up into a return of the sage of 6 paths.

I meant to mention this in my original post, but I forgot haha.

Chances are someone has already said something along these lines, but I thought it was interesting how Madara basically said that people were cursed and destined to hate each other because of chakra. I wonder if, at the end of the manga, the cycle of hatred will be broken by everyone's chakra being taken away.

Actually, I don't think that will happen, but it'd be an interesting twist.

On another note, it's awesome that next chapter we're getting 21 pages! Better be a great one.

Interesting name, Kaguya-Hime who just so happens to be the name (according to Wiki) of the charactor from a folk Japanese Folklore, who was born on the moon. And the sage's name is apprently the Heavenly Kimono of Tenshi, also apparently also the clan name of the person they Hashirama and Madara found floating down the river, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were also related to the Sage.I like how Kishi takes old Japanese names from plays and folklores etc to pick names of legendery charactors who we know about for ages but were never given the name for, like the nine Bijuu and the Sage and his mother.

I'll be honest when I was reading the flashback I was half expecting the Snake whispering into Kaguya's ear to eat the forbidden fruit of god. Though I also got the image from it being the worlds first Devils Fruit like in One Piece...well there's an idea for the One Piece/NAruto crossover fanfic.

Well I have to say not what I was expecting, but definitely interesting to read, I always did wonder how The Sage gave Chakra to the world, andwondered if it was a mistranslation and it was really the Sage taught the world how to use Chakra but it was literal. Makes for an interesting premise, Bee is cornered and Naruto has had a major chunk of his chakra taken from him, things are not looking great.

So all this time I've been thinking the Uchiha family were the closest to the Juubi because of the eyes but turns out the closest might have been Hashirama Senju with his tree powers, the reason the Bijuu were controlled his wood release could very well be because it was the power of the Juubi, reclaiming it's Chakra.

All this time i've been thinking it's the powers of the Sage vs the Bijuu's power but in reality it was the power of the Juubi all along.

Yeah I can see the tree as a flower bud, usually in situations like these is when the villain's plot begins to falter. I think the Infinite Tsukuyomi isn't going to be much of Infinite. Hagoromo probably foresaw this event and may have build a failsafe, after all he did predict Naruto's appearance. I still believed he sealed his chakra in the tailed beast, in a similar fashion Minato and Kushina sealed they're own inside Naruto.

If I'm not seeing something obvious, please, enlight me, coz' I really can't see it.

The story is an obvious parallel to the bible story of the forbidden fruit. The woman ate the fruit and then her male child, NOT HER, gave the world ninjutsu. As a result of her evil fruit eating actions, the Juubi-Tree-Animal-Bijuu-Thing now wants it's chakra back but was temporarily subdued by her infinitely more awesome son. However, he eventually dies and we now have hundreds of thousands of years of Shinobi World Wars and Hokages that make bad decisions. Every single tragedy in Naruto can be traced back to Kaguya. Just because homechick decided to eat a fruit.

Good going Kishi.

How on earth is Kishi being sexist in this chapter? The sage was already established as male a long time ago, and confirmed again during Kurama's flashback as a kid fox. You shouldn't have any expectations of him turning out to be a girl.

But no, her having the power and will to face thousands or even millions of people doesn't count for anything, she was just a baby maker.

Get real.

Maybe I have a totally warped view on things but just because you had a baby doesn't mean you're now deserving of admiration of praise for actions it will take later on in it's life.

It says she "ended all the conflicts." How? It wasn't though ninjutsu because her son invented that. This is extremely ambiguous and definitely needs more exposition but I highly doubt it will get any. I'll eat those words if I'm wrong but I'm betting the majority of the focus will be on her son. My prediction is that she'll turn out to be a gigantic Relena Peacecraft if she gets any focus at all.

I'm pointing out the painfully obvious pattern of Kishi giving women the short end of the stick in this particular manga. I know that bothers some but it doesn't change the fact that if a women is pointed out as being powerful in any respect then she will be, without an exception in the ENTIRE MANGA (call me on this one if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right), weaker in comparison to her male counterparts. This goes for the Sannin/Tsunade as well.

So many people are mad about this weeks chapter, but it was a nice change of pace. And its not an asspull, the jubbi being a tree was probably what Kishi had thought of years ago when making the framework of the story.

I don't think it's all that much of an asspull. It's just dumb.

Also, I thought for like, 2 seconds that the SO6P might turn out to be female Might. MAYBE. BUT NO, JUST A BABY INCUBATOR.

No, she's not. She's basis for the entire system every character has spent most of part 2 stomping on. She gave birth to a new method of warefare that is essential being as described a more brutal than the last.

It's worse than just a Baby Incubator.

So, can't a powerfull, goddess woman have a child? She was just a human before eating the knowledge chakra fruit, what makes her imperfect just because she had a baby? He doesn't use those words, but take a gander at the presentation.

Personally, I don't care at all about the sexist angle because the whole thing blows no matter the gender. At least Obito has a personal, potentially relatable motivation (even if the execution is a total disaster). Madara's is an impersonal generic one and I can't pretend to give a crap about it (outside of saying it sucks). It's not even a deep well thought out philosophy. It's thin, weak, and boring one.

Still, I imagine it's because she's being treated simply as the person who gave birth to the sage of six paths and nothing more. We get a name and an act and we move on. The person heralded all this time is not her, but her son. She's just the genesis of a method of warfare that is moments later being describe as worse than the previous one. It's a understandable decision on her part, but that's not how it's told.

What's moronic about the whole thing is that I couldn't care less where Shinobi came from and the plot is not better off for knowing. With the sole exception of Madara the problems currently faced have been the result of the system, not the existence of Shinobi themselves. All of these tragedies and the system don't seem to depend on the specific existence of Shinobi at all. Except for the superpowers, the war, the killing, and the suffering could (and did) happen despite ninja. So how is this better off knowing where Shinobi come from when it's never explained how the problems are dependent on their existence. So on top of being stupid it seems totally unnecessary. I'm seriously asking myself: "Who gives a crap?" At best, it's sets up the weak motivation for Madara.

As far as Sakura, she's the only one of Team 7 who is routinely used as canon fodder. When was the last time she contributed anything meaningful to the overall plot (not romantic subplot)?

Whole chapter is a cluster.

I don't know. Maybe next week will make this look better. Let's hope so.
