I much prefer the more linear pseudo rpg style of Storm 2 to a lifeless 3D Konoha with nothing to do in it that was in Storm 1.

It's been a while since I played Storm 1. I don't recall any jutsu customization. I DO remember that Naruto and few other characters had a charge up attacks. For example, his Rasengan was more powerful the longer you held down circle (PS3). Anyways, I'm really looking forward to Storm 3 and already have it pre-ordered =D

It makes me remember on how Kishi did something cool for someone who doesn't seem like he gotten people's attention. In short, even that character is not popular, he/she still get the shine, whether you like it or not.

Ah. If I recall correctly, Storm 2 and Generations allowed you to choose which jutsu you wanted to use for the battle at the beginning using the trigger buttons. I think that's what Storm 1 had too because I recall you being able to choose to use the Demon Wind Bomb OR the Rasengan for Naruto at the start of the battle. Generations allowed for certain characters to have alternate jutsus. For Kakashi, you could choose between using his Double Raikiri or Kamui and there were a few other characters like that. But I do see your point and it would be nice to be able to switch up jutsus in battle but I doubt that ill ever happen in the Storm series. The controls are too basic for that to happen =/.

The problem with the story mode being the exact same layout (besides the now even more obvious lack of effort and creativity put into the game) is that, well, Storm 2's free roam layout just isn't that good in comparison to what other Naruto games have offered us. Again, look at Rise of a Ninja and Broken Bond. Full free roam that doesn't have a bad camera, doesn't slow you down to extend gameplay, and was an absolute joy to play. In comparison, Storm 2's story mode was extremely lacking in interaction and freedom. They had an opportunity here to add more functions to the story mode, to add more content, to make it more interactive and fun. And it looks like it was all wasted. No, I don't count the story material they have to use from the manga as adding more content. For a brand new game with a $60 price tag, more has to be demanded than material that could've easily been sold as cheaper DLC instead. What I mean as adding more content is adding to the story layout, presentation, interactiveness (outside of the quick-time battles), etc.

They could have at least changed the camera angle and how you travel. At least that, to make it more fun. But no, it's the same exact layout as Storm 2.

Watched the demo and I have to say, I really wish we could see Chouji doing something like what his old man did in the demo.

In the after-demo trailer, Chouji fights the Medo statue in a KAIJU BIG BATTEL! Yes, you control big-ass Chouji.


Also...My god, Chouza grappling with Kyuubi had me going, "YESS! YESSSSS! YES!"

In other words they are just suckering Naruto fans into buying they games no matter how much of a crappy job they did on it. I GET THE FEELING. But on the other hand Ninja storm is not the worst I've played and my cousin plays that with me on my PS3 anyway so I may get it.

Oh, Storm isn't the worst. Far from it, I get that. I might consider getting it used (and only used) myself, but only if something they put into it really blows me away. From how it's looking so far, it doesn't seem that way.

Was just thinking of what kind of names they could give Naruto and Sakura in a team and I thought of an idea. Why not just name it NaruSaku. Same thing with Sasuke/Sakura and Naruto/Hinata. That way every pairing fan will be happy with this game.

Quite honestly I'm hoping that Namco Bandai won't do a thing as to give special names to certain tag teams. The last thing we need is to feed more NH and SS fans with things they will use as evidence to prove their pairings will become canon just like they did with storm 2. However I they do add names for tag teams I'm hoping Naruto and Sakura's name is "Heaven and Earth".

So awesome. My anticipation for this game just keeps getting greater, especially after I saw the demo. And the best part is that it comes out the day of my birthday! I'm getting that the day it comes out. So want to try out Goku Naruto.
