Only the comic books. The movie just isn't nearly as good, but at least it isn't bad.

I'm gonna see it early Friday. I can't wait!

"The time has come at last for you to learn everything . . .
Fare thee well, Albert, my friend."

Recognized my mother's friend (a cop who plays...a cop extra that appears in a split second) and a prominent Filipino actor near the end.

If you wanna defend the first argument, fine. whatever. I disagree with it but admit there's an argument to be had there. However, there is no excuse for the second one, none whatsoever. Some people may be joking around, but there are others that are completely sincere when they ask that question. Like, did you even pay attention at all? Rose was talking about never letting go of the promise she made to Jack about surviving no matter what, not about never letting go of his hand. Did you seriously expect her to drag his already dead body on the lifeboat with her and bring it back to New York? Yeah, that makes sense. While she's at it, maybe she can taxidermize his body and dress it and take it for walks and talk to it and sleep with it. It'll be almost like he never died!

Of course it's just awful, it's Michael Bay. The guy has movie explosion tourret's syndrome. Just once, I'd like to see him take on a romantic comedy, or something. See how long he can go without a car/plane/bomb/small animal blowing up.
I wouldn't call that movie an old classic. Not by a long shot. But it's Scorsese's finest, and I've yet to see anything by that man that hasn't been fantastic. Have you see The Color of Money? The man can even make Tom Cruise look good.

Karly, I don't know if you can hear this. I am not a believer, I haven't been since Sheryl died. But if you can, I want you to know that I'm truly sorry for everything bad I've ever said about you. When you were suffering, I should have been there to help you. I should have visited. I should have encouraged you to leave the house and get a job, to be active and alive the way you used to be.
I promise that I will do everything that I can to be successful and a good person, to make you proud the way you would have wanted me to. No matter what I said, I loved you. And I will always love you. Rest in Peace, you will never be forgotten.

Unfortunately I think this is true. Then again, what I know.
The last month I have been watching several old movies from my childhood with my eight-year nephew (mainly The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth). He liked them a lot. Honestly I think back in the eighties were made many good action, fantasy, adventure or sci-fi movies.
The movies I remember more fondly from that time were:
Alien
Back to the Future
Batman I and II
The Bride Princess
Conan The Barbarian
The Dark Crystal
E. T.
The Ghostbusters
The Goonies
Highlander
Indiana Jones: Raiders of Lost Arc
Karate Kid
Labyrinth
Mad Max
The Neverending Story
Predator
Robocop
Star Wars Episode V (although I am not a big Star Wars fan)
Superman I and II (possibly my favorite super-hero since I was a little kid)
Terminator
Willow

Do you want to take over the world, huh? Well, you'll have to go through us first!

I knew they were making a second one, I just didn't know it was being released so soon. If its anywhere as good as the first one, I'll be checking it out.

Not to sound like a know it all, but wasn't it shown that Jack trying to get on the door or whatever with her and it ended up sinking under both their weight?
Nothing for nothing, but I thought that was the whole reason why he couldn't get on it. Seemed like a logical explanation to me.
