I don't get why Hinata is popular.
Well, Nostradamus made a good case on why this might be, especially with fanboys ![]()

Is that supposed to be like a wolf-whistling or is Hinata being compared to a Cow? I'll assume the second one ![]()

Question, if Hinata is hated in Japanese forums
Why did she beat Sakura(small gap) in the last poll that SJ had in Japan(back in 2011)?

Studio Pierrot must have like over 1000 so there's your part. If you ask me, perhaps cooperation take the most vote. Forums could go to other guys (like Iruka, Naruto, etc) so hard to really determine. They should do that separate gender one. KHR did it.Question, if Hinata is hated in Japanese forums

I think it's more like those are really big that a cow can match the size of it. Anime do play a sound effect of a cow when a large 'melons' character are shown. Is that supposed to be like a wolf-whistling

Because she is a relatable character, that's why. Most people can relate to her. To be more precise people can relate to her "love".
Because a lot of people never had a chance or just don't have the guts or both, to tell the person they like/love how they feel or how they think they feel.
That's why Hinata is so popular. Because people see themselves in her.
I don't think this is what Kishi intended when he created her, but that's what happened in the end.
Meh, I can relate to her, but have different reasons to do with part one development and personality...nervousness, unconfidence, that kind of thing.
Don't like her enough to consider her a favorite, though.

I hope the dumb@ss animators don't screw up Sakura's movie outfit, like they do all the time. When they first made Sakura's shorts and medic skirt longer, I thought it was for public decency and like an anime rule or what ever. But after I saw Ino's short skit, I began questioning them and when I saw Karin's short short, I knew those bastards were just trying to make Sakura look worse than the other girls. I seriously hate how SP ruined the Naruto anime with their bias ass filler, animation, and translations.
Sorry, SP just ticks me off.
THIS. they're so unfair and biased, I noticed manga Sakura looks way different than anime Sakura

tbh I see more of myself in Sakura, especially how kishimoto had used inner Sakura a lot in part one..what girl doesnt have that inner side they dont show others? Sakura is more realistic than Hinata, cause all Hinata does is stutter and faint, how is that cute? Im shy, in fact, i have anxiety problems but you dont see me fainting and stuttering...Sakura is more human...if that makes any sense? lol

I'm a guy and I do the same thing, especially around people I don't know.

I can relate to Sakura, too. Her growth has been portrayed more, and gone farther than Hinata's, I think. Most of Hinata's growth was in part one, and she hasn't really contributed anything major to the series.
That said, I can also relate to Hinata's shyness. I'm rather uncomfortable around people in general until I get to know them, so I tend to not say much, and I don't like to step in any toes. I don't really open up until I have some idea how people will react to me, and my social inhibitions are only completely dropped around people I consider friends.
It's a lot easier to be myself online.

Answer: because she isn't, lol. I have a sneaking suspicion the 'all of Japan hates Hinata' thing comes from a pro-NS board. Hinata being liked or disliked has no bearing on the canoning of NS, though ![]()

Users who frequent Japanese forums have told us this... That she is disliked, or otherwise just not really paid attention to on forums. Either way, the people who talk about Naruto online are different than those who don't, and there's a lot more people who read Naruto without discussing it a lot online than people who do. And no one ever said all of Japan hates Hinata.

True. I'd imagine Sakura has more fans than the hate for her online would lead you to believe. In watching the first series on YouTube (only place I could find the uncut version online at the time), I never understood why so many of the comments were basing Sakura for being useless. Especially after she decided for herself that she needed to overcome her faults...to me that was something to admire. Even before then I could identify with her frustration.
