Wow, he worked on some really cool stuff. So sad - he died of kidney cancer. Gone too soon.

As a person with kidney issues, I don't even want to imagine the things he went through >_<

So, wait, after spending years with the idea of Naruto being dead hovering in the air like the sword of Damocles, they reveal they just sent him to another dimension while pushing Boruto as the hero who will surpass the guy who bodied his father? They didn't just go DBZ, they went Ocean dub DBZ.

...What? Oh that fight. Boruto and Nail immediately goes to free him and succeeds after a fight with Blacksmith. Then they fight Jenga again Naruto activates Suicide Nuke form and Kurama dies. Naruto is still alive.

I'm just getting you up to date so you don't get too happy thinking Naruto finally dead. Kodaichi was let go and replaced by Kishimoto as writer recently.

Ya know... in the course of this month I've realized something about myself... that I have a lot more appreciation for Sakura that I thought I did because I always imagined that it withered away over these 7 years after the ending. I guess it was just an aspect that I subconsciously kept locked away without a thought.

I never actually thought they were going to kill them. That would require the people who produce this to have, what's the word?, kittening balls and being willing to take risks. Considering how much the franchise has deteriorated because of them, I sincerely doubt they would do something like killing off their old lead since it would probably alienate whatever fans they had left.

 

It was the fact the big reveal was literally "we send him to another dimension," something people used to joke about due to early attempts at dubbing DBZ using that in place of saying someone died, that just made me laugh my ass off. What's next, a reboot with former 4Kids staff supervising?

The thing is, the first chapter flash foreword showed two things one) we were getting another SNS conflict, and two) it implied that Naruto was dead likely killed by Nail.

 

To be honest, I do think Kodaichi may have actually been about to kill Naruto before Kishimoto was put in-charge; mainly because he's story is that predictable. Then kishi came in realized what he had to work with delayed the death in hopes of giving more meaning to it later by sacrificing Kuama instead.

 

Also, it was more they fought in another dimension and he was seal once he was beaten there.
