Western comic (read : marvel/dc) use the same character for long time. So it need retcon to keep up with the current reader.

Manga use the same formulation with different character. So they could keep up with the reader. One of the reason why you get the term generic shonen stories.

Those superhero movies are all about retcons, in that new Batman vs Superman movie Batman was retconned to look like a robot.

Hulk/Black Widow or whatever in the new avengers...

it was usually Hawkeye/Captain america or something but i don't ever remember the Hulk being one of her lover boys...

But whatever.

Don't get me wrong, some are okay...some are "meh" and some are just god awful retconns that are wiped from existence, or retconned by something else. 

Comics are kinda a clusterkitten to keep straight. 

 

I'm sorry but i don't like western comics at all.

 

They keep retconning just to create new stories. I read about the whole MJ/Peter thing and from what i know they are not even friends anymore.

 

Way to take a classic couple and destroy them..... Same with DC and the whole new 52 or whatever. SM/LL marriage is erased and now they are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Yea this is a big issue for me. 

Don't like WW/SM and Mary Jane and Peter is like...a covenant that should not be messed with

I don't think I've ever read a dc or a marvel comic XD don't really know where to read them

go to your local comic book store, if you don't have one then i can just private message you a site where you can read them for free if you're really interested in getting into dc/marvel comics.

there was a retcon in the sm/ww comic i've been buying, but in the end it turned out for the better of their relationship. don't know much about marvel since i don't read their comics.

The fact that they are nerfing Superman to hell, making him more man than super, the fact that he has to breathe now. Before he didn't have to breathe. I hate how they are nerfing him to hell lol.

Ewww the Hulk was with Black Widow? Dream on Hulk fanboys.
And yeah Mary Jane/ Peter Parker is like law, though I do like PP (lol) x Gwen Stacey. But that's because that Peter Parker was a completely different one from the other one.

Considering how long Marvel characters have been around it was either retcons or we would be following the stories of pensioner superheroes. 

 

Still. For now all I care about is that we've seen Kakashi's face. Dat mole.

This is true, or do what Dc does which is reboot the entire universe of their series.

Still, the thing about western comics is that when the writers pull kitten readers don't like,  THEY HEAR THEM, and they're usually replaced by new writers who fix the booboo's...or that comic just comes to a discontinuation.

yeah he is a lot like the Golden Age Superman which had basically the same attitude from 1938 before the Silver Age. And they nerfing the hell out of him. He's a lot weaker just like the Superman from 1938.

And there was this one time in an old Thor issue that he goes around to various other pantheon to collect energy or something.

 

He comes to the Hindu Pantheon but THE strongest god in our mythology refuses. Thor fights and beats Lord Shiva, some one you could say is on the same level as Odin (Shiva is responsible for the destruction of the world at the end of the cycle). But some people pointed this out later and the writer retconned it stating that the God who Thor beat was the God of Thunder Indra........

I had a few chuckles at that.

I only considered two things holy in DC and Marvel, That being Supes/Lois and Peter/MJ.

And they just gt erased out of existence
