I think a lot of the female characters would have more rewarding stories if they weren't paired up and reduced to baby making factories for Part 3.

Why pairing up is so bad for female characters?

At least in Naruto it is, except for a few pairings, a lot of pairings have women being downgraded so they could get with their men.

example from the canon ones: Hinata, Sakura, Temari, Kurenai, etc
