Anyone saw sawyer's review on 635? It was a decent review, however I almost fell off my chair when he mentioned something that caught my attention. He said that Hinata might play an important role when it comes to Kakashi and Obito (according to him). I don't understand, why would he think that??? It doesn't make sense to me what does Hinata has to do with Kakashi and Obito??? Is he insinuating she's a parallel to Rin? Hinata doesn't have the slightest clue who Obito is so why is she going to play an important role between these two characters?

What are you talking about? I didn't remember that, had to check the review again and he said nothing of the sort. He didn't even mention Hinata. :ermm:

That being said, I also thought it was a pretty decent review. I think the guy is pretty good at expressing his words. :P

James, I got confused because in the first translation, Sai says "your words are sincere, but your smile is not." So she said she trusts him, is happy that he's back, etc..but if her words are sincere she should've smiled.

I understand the correct translation now.

The SS pairing, not fandom is just so bizarre to me, their hasn't been a lick of positive moments from parties, let alone one of them.

I just really wanna see this play out, u guys said Kishi is doing another arc after this? Do you think its gonna be a normal sized arc or just the Naruto vs Sasuke fight. And will it pick up right after?

During the N v S fight I wanna see them fight in each of their "forms" that'd be pretty sweet. Kinda like S-cry-ed

Sai just said "Your words MIGHT be sincere but I know that your smile is false"

You can trick a people using words but you can' trick them with a false smile.

Just go to see the chapter 286, the first chapter where Sakura uses a false smile. In that time Sakura just tricked him by using both words and faked smile but this time Sai learned to know her as well and he knows that he was trying to trick him using those words and that fake smile but this time didn't work. That fake smile just ruined those words of her.

I thought it was pretty straight forward.

One thing I find odd is we had no problem deciphering Sakura's confession and what Naruto meant by "lying to yourself," but this one confused people? I found Sakura's confession to be more cryptic and confusing than this one.

If anything, just imagine that you were the one facing Sakura. What would you say if you saw that smile (which she tried so hard to produce that is not even a smile)?

Simple, right? She's lying.

I find this similar to what Sai said in chapter 474 when he saw through Sakura's fake smile.

She might be lying to herself this time as well.

I think what Naruto meant was that Sakura wanted to believe she was over Sasuke, but she was not.

This time she is either unconsciously trying to hide her true feelings from herself, or fake the smile because she doesn't want anyone to think she doesn't trust Sasuke. We'll see soon, because that smile+Shikamaru and Sai's suspicions has to lead to some sort of confrontation.

By the MP translation, it sounds like Sai believes Sakura's words, that she is happy and trusts him. But he doesn't believe her smile. She is lying.

Isn't that kind of over complicating it?

I don't think it is that "Sakura wants to believe her own words," but rather she is "hiding something." Not the first time Sakura said something to hide the true meaning to her intentions or thoughts. Like I said, look at Sakura's confession and how she lied about not caring about Sasuke.

Bolded: So...she is lying to Sai because she wants to lie to herself? I am not sure that is what is going on here otherwise she would have rather lied in her inner thoughts.

No, I rather go for the simpler solution that she is lying to Sai to not worry him or anyone else for that matter.

I'm not sure either, I was just mentioning what the smile could mean.

But I hope she's not lying to herself. Because I want her to be done with that and if she's just lying to Sai she may have an important reason to, an ulterior motive. :D Or maybe she's just trying to hide it because she doesn't want anyone to worry, but I hope it's something more.

whoa I didn't think my comic would make someone so angry haha. Oh well it's her opinion I guess. But she shouldn't be so angry over a fan comic I quickly sketched.
Thanks for posting my comic on your tumblr Chatte! I was surprised at the feedback! It only motivates me to keep drawing!

But I really wish people, in terms of anime/manga, would think more like the Japanese fandom. They seem to know what's up and don't seem so on the offensive to "rival" shippers. Weird how we like the same series yet act and think so different.

aH PLEASE DO IT! It has received so many positiveness, even from SS fans as well, except that one.

Your scenario is actually perfect hehe.

And the feedback, good, it has 697 in just a day! Imagine it still hasn't spread around that much. I feel this is going to be very popular comic!

Honestly, im surprised it got so many notes in one day. Nonetheless, it's an amazing quick sketch and it fully clears sakura's resolve! It's actually as close to a guess to the cannon manga as I could have imagined.

No one appears to be concerned about SasuIno's chances. Why is that so? Ino's feelings for Sasuke have yet to be truly challenged or denounced like Sakura's. With regards to Sakura she at least has an understanding that the man whom she once knew died long ago. She understands on some level that he has an ulterior motive which will antagonize himself and that his disposition remains as cold and self-interested as it always has. The contempt that Sasuke has in his heart is not healed. It's like what Kakashi and Sakura advised him of back in P1. Even if he succeeds in his ambitions it will not bring long lasting satisfaction or closure, only emptiness created by the severing of ties to anyone and everything he ever cherished that could have offered him a purpose to live besides vengeance.

Under more severe circumstances Sasuke may just create another outlook for his aggression. In fact that appears to be the situation currently. He's lost all understanding of what it means to fight for other justifications besides hatred and vengeance.

Yup same here. I think she just doesn't want to burden anybody else with her suspicions and what she fears. She definately doesn't trust him. Remember they his her face and showed the back of her head wen she was talking. That's kind of panel always represents unspoken truths.

And back to the confession. She told him she loves him. And like kishi said she was being honest. What I think is that after that Sakura said that sasuke doesn't mean anything to her and she could careless. That's what he was referring to when he said he hates ppl who lie to them selves

Probably because no one takes SasuIno seriously enough to even care. And whatever feelings Ino might of had for Sasuke go out the door in a second if he ends up hurting Shikamaru as some have speculated. She'll want to kill him since Shika and Choji mean more to her than anyone. Growing up about Sasuke is probably Ino's last bit of character development before the end.

I never thought SasuIno as a probable pairing. But then again, after part 2, Ino is shown to express her feelings for Sasuke repeatedly. (Rookies meeting to kill Sasuke, Inoichi's words, running towards Sasuke when he appeared). What's more is that she doesn't see Sasuke in a negative light at all which is contrary to Sakura.

I have to wonder why Kishi is bringing a lot of Ino->Sasuke panels  :headscratch:

And I'm also reminded of Asuma's dying words to Ino. "Don't lose to Sakura, in ninjutsu and romance."

Could this be a foreshadowing in regards to Sasuke?

Could be. But that seems really unnecessary don't you think. I personally think that he's only gonna make one pairing canon, and that's naruto and Sakura. Everything after is gonna be up for interpretation.

Hmm... How many times has Sasuke even talked to Ino? Like, maybe five times max if I were to guess, and I can't even remember their interactions. It's just a step above crack pairing because there is attraction on at least one side. Something like SasuHina is crack because they have no interaction whatsoever and there is no attraction on either side.

The bottom line is that I wouldn't bet too much money on SasuIno happening.

Ino winning to Sakura in romance, doesn't necessarily have to be Ino dating with Sasuke. There could be many other ways to consider Ino has won against Sakura in regards to Sasuke. For example, Sakura giving up on Sasuke but Ino still fighting for it. In this case Ino did win, albeit it's a win by default because Sakura got out of the game.

But then again, it's just Asuma's words. I don't know how much emphasis Kishi will put on Asuma's words and the development of Ino.

But what if you were to interpret it in a way that Sasuke is actually unhealthy for both the girls and being with him is actually losing? So then Sakura would be "winning" if she were to drop her feelings for him.

Honestly, I think we're putting more thought into Ino's feelings/SasuIno than Kishi himself. :sweatdrop:

Your interpretation is true as well. But I also want to say that it's not unhealthy for Ino as it is for Sakura and Karin. Sasuke tried to kill Sakura and her teammates. Sasuke tried to kill Karin by tricking her and again for the same reason that she's a liability.

Ino never saw this Sasuke. For Ino, Sasuke came back to help the alliance after he suddenly left the village for whatever reason.

And the whole reason why I'm stating this in the first place is because Kishi himself, has time and again put emphasis on Ino's feelings towards Sasuke since part 2. In part 1, it was close to comedic relief. In part 2, things seem to turn out more serious when she was crying about the rookies decision, when she cried again being reminded of Sasuke with her father's words, and her completely trusting and running towards him when Sasuke arrived to the battlefield. Why doesn't he show the same for Tenten, or Temari who also thought Sasuke was "cute"?

EDIT: Please be reminded that I don't mean to say SasuIno will be canon. I believe Sasuke will be alone, and he prefers that way. My main point is that, Ino could still stay in love with Sasuke after all this.
