I think he's in one of these states:

 

1- He's with his friends, but isn't showing it. He's showing loyalty to Juhabach so he can take him down later.

 

2- He's with Juhabach, but at the same time doesn't want to attack or kill his friends.

 

3- It could be both 1 and 2.

 

But, Uryu could be killed later for a purpose of Ichigo's development. Though, I don't want that.

Momma Lys is - finally - taking a holiday, 15 glorious days of sea on a pretty boat in France. Although Lys is happy, Lys is also sad because there will very very probably be no internet (unless Lys finds cafés with free wi-fi, then Lys will come and say hi). Lys will certainly miss you very very muchito and hopes that that damned pretty boat has finally caught up with the present, but she very much doubts it.

It doesn't mean anything if he controls him. Kubo can make Uryu turn things against Juhabach. Yeah, I do think that Uryu's father will play a part. Maybe by guiding Uryu to defeat Juhabach if he was in state 1, or guide him to not be confused anymore if he was in state 2, or Kubo is packing a more surprising event concerning Uryu.

He's now playing the character that helps the protagonist, and at the same time, Ichigo and Ganju are bonding. It's a few chapter back that we see how they are bonding.

 

You know how a side character that a protagonist pass by at some point in the manga then they get closer later that the goal of defeating the enemy teamed them up. Ganju is playing that role.
