Exactly, and people just assume that she's doing this for Sasuke alone, when it's both for him and Naruto. And you gotta wonder if Naruto even SEES that, or if he's just too bothered by the fact things have changed when he'd chosen to NOT change his ways because of the path set with Legend of a Gutsy Ninja. After all, he seemed to dislike the idea of Sakura being in love with him possibly, since he perceived her to be in love with Sasuke still.

I agree with you if Sakura does still have some feelings left for Sasuke it has to be because of the bench scene from ch 3. I'm sure Sakura hasn't forgotten something so important like that we all know that she hates to be made fun of her forehead to see the boy she likes telling her exactly what she was thinking complimenting her forehead to her it must be the most wonderful experience ever. Of course if she finds out that it was Naruto who transformed into Sasuke then I believe everything will change and Sakura will erase any possible trace left of her feelings for Sasuke.

There is a reason why Kishi made that scene it only developed Naruto's feelings for Sakura to grow stronger when he said" I think I finallyl understand why I like her". The chapter also shows how much Naruto knows Sakura very well knowing that she was tease because of her forehead and he knew complimenting her forehead will make her feel flatter. Also Sakura does think the exact word Naruto were going to say at the chunin exams when he was fighting Kiba "go ahead Naruto tell everyone with your words."

That has to be the only logical reason for her to still be loving Sasuke because let's face it if there's something that Sasuke has done for Sakura during part 1???

Yeah we all have to realize that Naruto is in deep denial here. Look at the flashbacks of Naruto during 469 when Sakura was still twelve as well as the flashback of the blushing Sakura next to Sasuke from 474. Naruto still sees Sakura as that twelve year old who is still deeply in love with Sasuke. Naruto believes that Sakura's love for Sasuke is eternal and undying like his love for her. I think he doesn't want to admit the possibility that Sakura may have move on from Sasuke and developed strong feelings for him.

In the short time I've been with Naruto-kun and Sakura-san, I've seen them go through a lot together. Their bond is strong. But the bond between Sakura-san and Sasuke-kun... Sakura-san is smart. She must realize that she's closer to Naruto-kun than she is to Sasuke-kun. I can understand that she wants to help both of them, but the difference is that she's doing what she is doing to benefit Naruto-kun and try to save Sasuke-kun. She obviously holds Naruto-kun's life in higher regard, or else she would be siding with Sasuke-kun. She's doing it ultimately for Naruto-kun.

Sakura is an exceptional shinobi but for a while her skills took a back seat to her crush on Sasuke. Thusly depsite being highly intelligent her skills as a shinobi were average at best. it was not until she began trully working hard after Sasukes departure that she became the Ninja she is today.
Naruto is a prime example of emotion overriding logic. It is not very intelligent to make a lifelong promise to return the very person who is your prime rival for the affections of the person you love.
yet he did just that. His emotions overode his better judgement and he did what he had to, to make Sakura happy again.

That's how I feel too, Miss Soupy. But Naruto is ON Sasuke's level now thanks to all the training he's done with learning the Rasenshuriken and gaining the title of Sage. It also could be as Gravenimage said;

And in reality, it's true. It's the one flaw with Naruto trying to be just like the hero in Legend of a Gutsy Ninja. He fails to realize the hero, Naruto, had to probably face some tough trials in his quest to really change the world. And in short, Naruto is already like the main hero in his guts, his bravery, and his inability to give up.
Sakura said it best too, that she's been there for Naruto to witness his change so much, as well as his being there to support her and comfort her. Even if at first she didn't really understand him as well as she thought, and her learning how much Naruto really DID always understand her.
In short, Sakura has come to understand Naruto , and Naruto himself still has to understand some things with Sakura. After all, Sai said it best to him that Sakura isn't so childish that she isn't unaware of other people's decisions, since she's come to realize too that Sasuke has to be stopped.

1) Naruto hasn't shown any indications of liking Sakura any less/feelings fading.
2) What's consistent is that he's always thinking about Sakura's feelings. For instance, when they got into a confrontation with Karui and Omoi, and when Sakura started crying, just look at the way Naruto looks at her. Naruto's always wanting to make Sakura happy.
3) Naruto hasn't had much interaction with Hinata after her confession- that was really the moment to build upon if Kishi wanted to go in that direction. Instead, he immediately had Naruto caught up in the news about Tsunade and Sasuke and then the Kage summit.
Now, I think in general, we can agree Naruto has done alot for Sakura. I mean, just looking at the plot as it is now, what would it be like if he didn't get the girl he loved in the end- after all that he's done? Considering the lack of development in NaruHina, if he just in the end ends up with Hinata (and with SasuSaku) it kind of smacks of this "consolation prize" feel (note, I am NOT saying that Hinata is like a consolation prize, but that the way the plot is now) and like an affront to Naruto, after all he'd done for Sakura. Why would Kishi do that? He started the story with Naruto being a nobody, he would end it with Naruto gaining the acknowledgment and love he deserves (:

Yeah, and I also wouldn't be surprised if besides accepting it that Hinata also felt a bit jealous.
XD Of course, with Naruto thinking that he can't have Sakura because of his thinking she's so deeply in love with Sasuke that he needs to remember...
SOMEDAY, LOVE WILL FIND YOU!!
And I think it'll be with Sakura.

We can't forget Yamato's speech as well what Sai said to her during the Sasuke arc there is a reason why Kishi has taken his time to make those scenes everything will be explain sooner or later.

No, she point blank says to Naruto she no longer is in love with Sasuke and now is in love with Naruto. Sakura gets angry when Naruto tells her she's lying to herself, she's not lying to herself about moving on from Sasuke and being in love with Naruto. Sai reinforces this. What's she's in denial about is there is still some lingering feelings for the Sasuke she knew back when they were all 12. She knows Sasuke will never be that person again, and she's grown and changed as well, as has Naruto. It is Naruto that is blind to how much Sakura has changed. One only has to go back and look at chapter 248 when Naruto and Sakura saw each other for the first time in 2 1/2 years. Sakura notes how much Naruto has changed and she blushes, smiles, and flirts in an overt fashion inviting him to look at her body in a sexual way. But to Naruto he doesn't see Sakura's changes- "she's exactly the same". And we see indeed he does view her in his mind as still that 12 year old Sasuke fangirl. He's forgotten all the moments where she showed her feelings for Naruto.

You're right I know that Naruto still views Sakura as the twelve year old Sasuke fan girl from the flashbacks he had about her from 469 and 474 he's blind to see that she has matured and move on from Sasuke. It's because he's too stubborn to see the truth and that he thinks he's not worthy for Sakura because he can't fulfill his promise and can't keep his word. He's also selfless always thinking about Sakura's happiness before his own happiness and since he think he's not worthy to love Sakura what better way to hand her over to his rival and best friend. I just hope Naruto realize the truth and he matures like Sakura has he has to stop thinking like he has to save Sasuke at all cost.
