Lol, they were promoting the kitten out of Naruto and Sakura at first until Hinata was finally announced. Makes me less worried to be honest.

Oh.. looks like the leaked movie sketches for Sasuke are legit. Though those ones looked legit anyways. It says NH & SS are getting more popular in Japan? LOL WHERE? I think that's just their opinion aha

Maybe they think it is more popular now because everyone is talking about it. That doesn't mean all of the popularity is positive, though.

Looking at the posters and stuff, it is really making my blood boil seeing Hinata as the heroine next to Naruto while Sakura is tossed aside next to Sasuke. I am going to admit it now...I hate Hinata. I know, I used to like her and thought she had potential to mature and get over her childish obsession that consumes her entire character, but she didn't. She just became more and more immature as time went on, to the point where I now feel annoyed by her. Also, the fact that Kishi and SP are trying to glorify her obsession as true, healthy love is ridiculous (though I personally think trying to glorify SS is way worse, there is no excuse at all for that piece of garbage pair, but you get my point). What I hate the most though is that they keep trying to force Hinata and NH down our throats. It's Hinata this, Hinata that, Hinata, Hinata, Hinata! I am sick of it! She is just some side character that gets WAY too much hype, but SP is trying to make her look like she is the heroine and a member of team 7!

Sorry for my rant guys...I couldn't hold it in anymore...

sakura is listed as the second lead in the movie and don't forget the teases we've gotten from the narrator and the side-by-side sketches.  the marketing doesn't bother me one bit, in fact it makes me even more confident.

 

Plus, well, 110 minutes, compared to 698 chapters seems far too fast and magical. It would make more sense to finish the job with what's coming in first place than to try to force something that was further behind. 

 

Come to think of it, we also had the databook, which covered most of the material of the story, still was teasing NaruSaku. There's no way they would've written and released that very soon before the ending of the story, if it didn't mean anything. 

 

 

Just guessing her, but I'm assuming it goes with Kishimoto's theme of "IF a girl stick around a guy long enough, no matter what the guy does they eventually will fall in love."

 

Seems to be a major... ahem... "theme".

 

It's possible, especially because that's what the epilogue seems to be implying, but I'd like to think that there's more stuff at work here, especially given what we already have.

Same. And note how all this stuff happened when the manga was ending. Before, it was all about NaruSaku.

I like Hinata, but I hear ya. Aside from her character having little relevancy in part two, her fanbase and the way she's put on a pedestal...well, it's rather turned me off to her character. Though I maintain that I like her for the things she represented in part one.

it's just marketing of the merchandise, nothing to sweat over. this is a 110 min movie, so we are definitely going to get some sakura action. she is listed as the second lead after all ^_^.

Nahh a lot of people have been saying that. XD The scarf that's supposed seem like Hinata's red thread of fate ripped in half in the trailer:

 

 

so that could very well mean that her and Naruto weren't meant to be (fate) if she put her feelings into that scarf. I reallyy doubt this movie will focus only Hinata's feelings. Marketing tells us one thing, Kishi's sketches tell us another. Like we barely have anything on Toneri and nothing on the other rookies? O_o The marketing honestly makes me more confident about this movie tbh. Maybe Kishi will use this movie as a way to try to touch on everyone's love life since it's about love. I need some Shikatema and Sai x Ino in this movie

 

Lol Kishi's sketch on Hinata was released last right? Along with Hanabi? Heh, you'd think if she was going to be with Naruto majority of the movie, she'd be released with Naruto's sketch. Sakura was released with Naruto I think. Sasuke and Kakashi's sketches were released recently, but they probably won't make that many appearances in the movie..

So, the scarf does really get ripped? That actually doesn't bode well for them, then. I have to wonder why Naruto is wearing the sketch in the promotional stuff, though. Is it really just marketing, or are they trying to say that it will work out, in the end?

Yeah, I used to like her for who she was a long time ago, when she actually had something else to her character than her obsession with Naruto. SP = when something is too good to be true, it stirs in the opposite direction. how many of us laughed years ago when that screenshot of naruto rescuing sakura bridal style leaked on the web? i'm not even fazed by this marketing anymore. it worked the first time, but a second time? lol SP can shove as many naruto and hinata figurines together as they want, my stance isn't changing.

I don't understand what makes her so popular. Or why people have to put down Sakura in order to praise Hinata. Okay, part one Sakura wasn't the best...I never hated or disliked her, but she didn't become a favorite of mine until more recently. But part two Sakura is certainly more praise-worthy than part two Hinata.

....oh well, some things you can't explain, I guess.

It may just be marketing, but do they really have to hype up Hinata that much? It is annoying. They don't seem to be promoting Sakura as the heroine, but she is listed as it? Something is strange here...are they covering something up like they did with RTN?

Anyway, idk if I even want to see this movie at all if it is just an NH/SS love story...but I am still a bit curious for some reason...

Barf..... uhg I hate being genuinely negative, but I can't stand this damn film as it's being presented! And from what I've seen with Kishimoto's work so far. Some days I like to joke by being negative, but this stuff actually is annoying me.

 

 

Or maybe he will notice Hinata's scarf/the feelings in it and try to close things off with her? Would explain the flashback and "wait for me". Naruto was way too serious when he said that imo. It wasn't enthusiastic or even touching. Just determined and serious. Such love LOL. I feel like we're going to get a slow-mo scene with Hinata falling and talking about her ripped scarf and her last words tho smh.

 

Honestly, he could get Hinata right now if he wanted to. He remembered her efforts against Pain, so he probably remembers her confession but still hasn't addressed it. What about this?

Swear to God if they make some connection about Hinata being just like Naruto's Mom I will go crazy for awhile.

 

I'd like to believe you guys, but honestly I'm just a doubting Thomas when it comes to the idea that Kishimoto is going to do this right.

Speaking of Minato and Kushina...because Kishi did such a wonderful job with them and the family feels, even with them being dead, that was one big thing I was looking forward to in the epilogue...once Kishimoto announced that he wanted to portray Naruto as a father, I mean. So, I expected him to do a bang-up job, just like he did with Naruto and his parents.

...well, nope, that's definitely not how it happened.=/

I hate when people put down a character to make another look better. If you love a character that much, you should be able to think of reasons why without having to compare them to one you hate. To be honest...I hated Sakura in part one. I thought she was annoying and immature, kind of like how I think of Hinata now. It is like my opinions of them switched going from part one to part two. What Sakura had was admirable and good development, which got me to like her in part two (and got me to dislike her again when it was thrown away in 699...go ahead and hate on me guys, but I may change my mind if her OOC behavior was only genjutsu or whatever), and Hinata downgraded.

 

If NH/SS stays the canon ending I will do all I can to not only not support it, but to make the case that other's shouldn't support it either.
