Meh, like I said, manga's been pointing NS for years. Wasn't for no reason. There's no reason to give up unless and until we have infallible proof to the contrary.

Thing is even if it does end up NaruSaku it doesn't really change the fact that the current promotion material is still pointing towards HN, it's potentially misleading and I don't think NH fans deserve that, They've done nothing to deserve being trolled like that, same way we've not done anything to deserve potentially getting shafted. This isn't clever marketing it's trolling, (if it isn't NH) and I can't say i'm happy with that kind of misleading advertising.

But haven't we been trolled as well if all this years of NS in the manga were to mean nothing at all in the end?

Don't you think its kind of an asspull if thats gonna happen? NS was teased to hell and back ... Kushina, Yamato, Sai, Obito ..

Her feelings for Sasuke did change - see Kakashis speeches.

Yes, exactly! But there is abbsolutely no, NO REASON to change his feelings for Hinata. in 110 minutes. 

 

The only thing that keeps me going right now is logic ... so please don't take it personally.

Marketing is more likely to be trolling than years of canon material. Authors make stuff happen for a reason, they give foreshadowing and toss hints for a reason. (Throwing it all away would make zero sense.) Marketing is only to get you interested in a product.

I'm not exactly againsg.t Naruto giving up once in his life, but the problem is : in the manga it's NS who get all the build ups and nice moments, while NH get almost nothing but a few naruto-kun here and there and 2 suicides.

So when I read the manga, it's NS I'm expecting if the author cares about continuity and development.

I say it's way too late for NH when NS is that strong in the manga.

 

It's about continuity to me and not about having the hero's might trumping everyone's and always getting what he wants. As it's not very realistic, and too indealistic for my taste.

Finally caught up.

 

Like I said before, we shouldn't be throwing in the towel yet for several reasons-

 

-It proved that SP were intentionally not showing Sakura scenes and making it look like the whole H/NH is the whole movie. Because, they had edited out Sakura's scene where she's smiling at HInata, who blushed, but purposefully matched it up to Naruto's words and made it look like he was the one who put his hands on her shoulders.

 

- Sakura is listed as the second main character for this movie.

 

- Sakura has screen shots, poses, and expressions, that have not been reveled in the trailer.( Even though they match up to Naruto's perfectly.And I seriously doubt they would have poses and expression, just to model what Sakura would look like, unless she was gonna be in the movie more.) Why market Sakura with Naruto with more poses and even expression shots, if she was gonna have the same role as Sai or Shikamaru?

 

- We've seen next to nothing from Naruto's side of things. We only hear about how much Hinata wants to give Naruto a scarf and how she's being targeted, but nothing on Naruto, besides the fact that he fights the villain and was at Ichiraku with friends.

 

- Anything that has feature Hinata and Naruto together, has never shown them with happy expressions or in a romantic act.( The CD cover, with Naruto walking away, while Hinata is standing behind him{ seriously, if Hinata was walking behind Naruto, her hair would not be blowing in his direction. She's standing still, while Naruto leaves.} the flashback to when they were kids, the screen shot of Naruto looking at Hinata, with surprise.) None of it is romantic in context, but just shows that the two will interact often.

 

-SP has done this before! Honestly, people are giving up or saying how much NH is canon, yet this is not the first time SP has mislead us. People have already talked about two different movies, that were advertising one thing and the movies turned out to be completely different. I don't understand why people keep falling for this.( Then again, this is the Naruto fandom, which is full of backwards logic and some fans that seem to not have the basic reading comprehension a toddler possesses.) It makes a lot of sense that some people aren't taking the trailer for what it is because SP has proven twice already that the trailer never tells the full story. They only highlight things, that aren't even important, to throw others off and rile up the fandom.

 

I understand that people have doubt, that's fine. But, declaring NS dead, declaring NH canon, and Declaring that the manga is less important than the movie is bullsh*t. Because you don't know that. If you give up, fine I can't stop you, but don't try to convince positive people that theyshould give, don't try to spread negativity. You can post your thoughts, but try to be courteous to the positive people still here.

Naruto's feelings won't change. That is something that has been a practically axiomatic statement in canon.

 

That's just it.  And this is hardly the only time.  Hell, the last chapter was the reward of him not giving up on Sasuke.  So why would he suddenly give up to go live with something that is as flat as cardboard?

 

I think Hinata would bother me a lot less if she was an actual character and not just an insert for fangirls.

Btw, sense of logic tells me that all this trailer and text stuff just a huge marketing game with the auditory. I bet this movie will put an end of NH, not make it canon.
