What manga have you been reading? The one I have read has had Sasuke as a major driving force of the story for years now. Is it really that incomprehensible for you that a manga could have multiple important storylines at the same time?

Yeah, they should stay support characters. I do agree with that. But regardless, they both interest me tons more than most of the main characters do. Which is why I like Taka more than I ever liked Team 7, even though I don't like Sasuke that much.

But that's like saying, during the fight between obito, killer bee and naruto, it suddenly cuts to the Alliance running towards the fight. Hurrrr

This is not actually such a bad moment to take a look at some other storylines. The Alliance had a dark moment with Neji's death and now have been inspired again back to confidence. The alliance is ready to fight, ObiMad are ready to fight. This could work as a cliffhanger. I'm still thinking we will see the Naruto focus continue for at least a few weeks.

It already is a cliffhanger and there's no need to extend it with a Sasuke arc considering the 3 week wait.

We don't know where Kishi intends to take the story. For all we know, what Sasuke is doing will turn out to be important for the confrontation with Obito and Madara. Kishi will show the other storylines at some point. This point is as good as any.

Sasuke arriving on the scene, :/ i dont know... can't really see the manga lasting much longer after that.

The sooner this war arc wraps up, the better. I don't want to leave in the middle of it and have to come back to it later and take up even more time. :/ Sasuke's little adventure to find out the truth is not nearly as important as fighting the Juubi.
Sig made by me though. XD

Agreed I can live without seeing sasuke, but I'd be majorly annoyed to not know the outcome of the war for a long time because it switched to sasuke.

I'm sorry..there are just too many damn pages and shame on me for being lazy and not look back.

I can't remember when the chapter is supposed to be released but I remember someone saying that the spoiler is due on January 15th.

Bolded: Isn't that kind of the point, though? It's like the Knight versus the Dragon Stories aimed for little kids.
Anti-heroes are not heroes. They are not villains, either. So I have to say this argument is invalid cause they can be anything they want. One minute they are a villain, then a hero, then a villain again. Look at Vegeta. Deadpool. Wolverine.
I also said nothing of the word "main character." I stayed away from using that word as well as "protagonist" because that just makes note of the who we are following. "Hero" is a distinct title aimed to the person who saves the day and who over comes trials.
This is what I don't understand, Tricksie, if you know Naruto is the hero, why do you question the dynamics of the story where he succeeds? It's kind of a given aspect of the hero in these kinds of stories given that we know this story is aimed at boys from elementary school through grade school age. Then we have Seinen manga who is aimed at 18-30 year old. Since Naruto is a shonen aimed for younger boys than I can see why the hero can always win in the end and there isn't some deep thought out endings equivalent to a Shakespeare type tragedy. Not to say that the hero doesn't fail at all, but in the end he usually ends up with a happy ending.
In my mind, I half expected the story to play out as such.
And please, can you give me examples of Shonen stories where the hero fails and the villain wins in the end?
And really want to make note here: I am not trying to condescend you, I am trying to understand why you feel the way you do about this. Don't need to assume something that isn't. I am trying to respect you, by understanding you. I hope you have the same respect and try to understand me. As I mentioned tone is hard to convey in forums and can be misunderstood quite easily.
I am not trying to sound condescending, but it's hard not to when you want to explain yourself and people are pointing out every little bit of detail to prove you are wrong and saying it is fact. There are even some things that I infer people understand as common sense. I am trying to say that there are some facts that people should have been a given by now. Not saying anyone is stupid, but just saying that people need to be aware of basic logic when reading someone else's logic.
Looking at how I do my posting and the way I think, I try to be thorough, but I infer that the people who read my posts will automatically know where I am coming from with it. I find people highly intelligent here, I shouldn't need to do that.
This is the respect I give.
Hmmm.... A few quick things: An anti-hero is someone who succeeds at the final goal but does not do it for the good of that goal, instead doing it for some other less noble reason like personal interest, etc. Naruto can be the main character of the story, but being the hero means he survives the challenges set out before him where others have failed. We as the audience know he is going to succeed because it's a manga. There are no surprises here. Plot twists, yes, but we all know Naruto is going to succeed.
Anyway, back to my original point. I do not see Obito/Rin as a parallel to Naruto/Sakura. For the reasons I already stated. So, again, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
About watching the condescending language, I did not mean in your post to me. Rather, I saw it creeping back into several of your other responses to other members. Addressing someone logically does not mean you get a free pass to belittle them. After watching the bickering escalating to a fever pitch, I really have no patience for it now. If you disagree, then move on. And if you chose to revisit an issue, please do so with respect.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sasuke again. I am quite tired of the Obito fight, as it has been going on for some time now.
Sorry it's a bit off topic but...are you guy's referring to the "Attention du-" part?

I could be wrong, but perhaps he was making a reference from Yu-Gi-Oh: The abridged series where an announcer would constantly say "Attention duelists!!!" It's a running gag in the show. At least that's what I thought he was referencing.

On the bright side, it's very likely that my information is wrong. I'll cross my fingers and wish for 616 this week.

I tought chapter 616 was already released and we were on our way to chapter 617 and now I just learned we will have to wait one week more for chapter 616, 3 weeks for a chapter release is more than the usual break, does someone know why is the break so long ?
My predictions and hopes for chapter 616 : things will go back to normal, fight will carry on, others characters will start to shine (Lee and Gai please) so that Hinata can go back to where she really belongs the background along with the others fodders and the and stops being forced on us.
I predict no pairing teases, Kishi is a great businessman and he knows he needs to milk till the end if he wants to keep most of the readers interested.

Does your nickname is something related to xenogears?

From both a german girlfriend who was passionate about astronomy and made me discover it and from Xenogears at a time when I loved RPG games, good times I spent on both accounts.

I was referring to the general patronizing and belittling tone of the post with rolls eyes smilies and all.
I still can't see Kishi going very romantic fashion (to kisses and the like) so it could be a while before any pairing is confirmed. NS I guess doesn't need kisses but since we still can't tell for sure if Naruto has feelings for Hinata, NH might need something like that to "satisfy" you NS shipper' demands for prove. So I can't see the next chapter providing confirmation like that. Best for NH would be if Sakura thought something that confirmed that she was not jealous of Hinata and didn't have feelings for Naruto and still loved Sasuke.

Obito's fight already had enough interruptions, with flashbacks, Sasuke, itachi, alliance, i think it's better for kishi to focus on it and finish.
