The only thing that bothers the crap out of me is that Kishi wont be able to prove Naruto isnt a silver medal especielly after what happened in SR and LOI. It kind of sucks when a pairing has to rely on outside forces to help it stay afloat and become canon.
And yes I know what Kishi is trying to do hes going to have Sasuke return to Team 7 and then make NS canon so Sakura can actually choose Naruto as opposed to LOI picking him because there was no other option.....but thats retarded because we know she isnt going to pick Sasuke because of all the heartbreaks and murder attempts he put her through, it doesnt at all feel conclusive it will just raise the question on if NS would still happen if Sasuke hadnt become psychotic or continiously broke her heart
You ALWAYS keep bringing up this nonsense silver-medal argument. Everytime you do this, a lot of members here explain why this isn't the case and the debate sort of dies out. But after one or two weeks you bring up the same argument again! Why?!
First of all, you mentioned Naruto is a silver-medal because of what happened in the LOI. I feel its the complete opposite. Kishi purposefully made Sakura confess in a way that makes Naruto look like a silver-medal. She was implying that she loved Naruto because Sasuke went over to the bad side and left her. So, YES, Sakura's confession did make Naruto seem like a silver-medal.
BUT what did Naruto do? Did he accept that? NO. He realized it right away and asked her to stop. Now, if Naruto had accepted her right then you could call him her second-choice. But he did not. Kishi is telling the readers that Naruto isn't going to happy with being Sakura's second choice. So, actually, what transpired in the LOI destroys any chance of Naruto being a Silver-medal, NOT the other way around.
As far as your second paragraph is concerned, you're being overly critical I'm afraid. How many people actually end up with the very first person they fell in love with? Very few! How many girls end up marrying their very first crush-the one they got at an immature age? Even fewer. Most of the times those feelings won't even be love but just an infatuation. They end up realizing what love truly means and choose the right person when they are older and more mature. This is what happens in over 90% of the cases. If we go by your logic, very few people in this world would not be a silver-medal. So, your logic isn't accurate and isn't the best one to use.
