I'm a picky eater. My favorite fruit is watermelon and green apple is the second.

Bittermelon is well I don't really mind. I can it a slice or two when it's cooked thoroughly.

Jengkol? The only indonesian food I found recently was bakso, pecel lele and ayam penyet...what is jengkol anyway? That's great as I like to try weird things, maybe it is what we here call as petai? It will definitely cause the pee to smell exactly as the food itself and retain the smells in the outhouse for several minutes...pity the soul that needs to use the toilet after someone that has eat petai   

Oh! There's petai here too. Not my fav food too. I ever accidentally ate it, it had been sliced until it's quite small. But still, I ended up almost throwing up everything on my mouth But jengkol and petai are different. I ever tasted the seasoning/sauce and it's tasty. But not with the jengkol. I rejected to eat that I never tried tho, more to because I know the pee is gonna have unique smell. Jengkol is.. jengkol I ever be a victim of it. I had to be quick in the bathroom

 

Never like pecel lele. Once I ate pecel too often, because my mom was lazy or didn't have time to cook and she bought pecel. I'm bored with it now

Apparently chewing gum helps if you have heartburn, though you might want to check if it works. But I agree, jackfruit is wonderful. Pretty much always have it whenever I go to India.

Right. I ever read an article like that. But the other article that I read tells me that chewing gum is deceiving stomach. Stomach will think that we're having foods and produce more stomach acid. Don't know which one is true

Hahaha, if I ever found jengkol here I definitely give it a try once  . I prefer ayam penyet and smoked catfish in yellow gruel over pecel lele too
