Yeah I can agree to disagree to that .  Though I can say not many countries feel that way . Also yeah  with the "fast" integration is not that is shouldn't happen  it very well should  but the problem is that some of those countries that have entered weren't exactly fit for it bc they weren't developed enough and others are given to much liberty to act as they please , I think this is one of the big mistakes that they've done and why it will have troubles dealing with it in the long run .

Yeah the Balkan is a very complicated subject . But the biggest problem is how EU is exactly dealing with this issue and the fact that our countries are always the victims of the individual global forces . Ask any Balkanian and they'll all tell you the same that's why many of us hates the EU for her biased actions inability to act rightfully . I can point out my country being the biggest victim of this kitten after waiting a whole decade to enter EU after dozens of positive recommendations being the leader in our region and unrightfully being turned down every time  but I rather not bc its exhausting XD .

Oh and also one of the biggest problem for the Balkan is the fact that none of the countries have good relations with each other  bc of the great history they all have and many disputes and wars such things are impossible to work trough bc we're all to stubborn such is our mentality lol .

 

Well its already facing kitten load of problems and I can't say they're dealing well with it but time will tell  we'll see how this turns up to be XD .

Frist thing first I can't tell you how happy I am that, even with our clearly opposing views, we can discuss this topic very easily, I seriously love that. And to think that for something as stupid as an anime fandom people tell each others to go die somewhere. Clearly we are so very cool  .

 

Well, yeah, I am  , I studied it so much that at the end I could only love it or hate it. (Plus the coolest thing ever for me is the possibility to take a plane and end up easily pretty much whenever I want to. Shallow? yes. Utilitaristic? way too much, but I think it's one of the greatest things that was managed to be done.)

 

And YEEESSSS you pointed out the greatest problem. Some countries were allowed inside when they were clearly unprepared to. (Much of it was due to the influence of a certain country, which would much rather have a loose economic alliance than anything else.)

 

....The fact that the biggest problem for the entrance of Macedonia is its name is possibly the most idiotic thing ever, and you won't hear a peep of disagreement from me on this. Seriously the dumbest thing ever.

And I can say with no shame that for all my history exams I always prayed not to be asked any question about it. I think my neighbor countries are a part of that deal (Bulgaria) I'm hearing all the time how EU countries are complaining about the people that are massively defecting from its country in searching for better opportunities bc of their not so good economy and bc of that chaos is arising and there's great dissatisfaction and destabilization in the EU for this and its slowly becoming a big problem . Granted this is happening in my country also but not on that level and the government is working on that issue with many projects ahead so there's hope at least that's what the results are saying XD .

Heck you know I believe law graduate students from England (if I'm not mistaken) had a project about this issue mainly about Greece braking the agreement treaty we had which they break it by putting the veto and by all charges we were proven right and still not able to join EU. I mean how kittened up this is if its given to students as a project lol. But yeah never mind that its a long history that makes no sense and its pretty much mindkittening talking about it XD .

Though there's a much bigger issue that's treating the Balkan now and that is the prospect of Great Albania which is supported by America in the shadows don't know how much familiar are you with this but its a serious threat not just for the Balkan even for the EU .

What you say can very well be partly true. But the thing that is at the basis of many ideological dispute is the 'too big too fast' dialogue. Some would rather have EU get bigger and include all the other countries of continental Europe (not gonna speak about Turkey here, 'cause that's another whole bucket of fishes). At the end it depends on how integrated we want the EU to be. At the rate we are going (which is admittedly very fast) EU risks of becoming only a big and almost empty recipient of loosely tied countries, whose only link is economic. While personally I'm all about having more political integration between countries. I do feel, from my personal experiences - but this may very well be linked to my chosen course of studies - very european and not much different from a Spaniard, a French, a German, a Dutch etc. Younger generations are becoming more and more similar, not in a bad way, as we are all still very much different, but there is an emerging 'European Identity' that I do like very very much.
 
Anywaysss this is kind of a very complicated discussion, full of contradicting impulses.
 
But regarding the Balkans, you're totally right, it has always been the most problematic area and so far there's only Slovenia and Croatia in the EU, but apart form Turkey (which at this point I'm pretty sure will never enter the Union), all the other candidate states are Balkan States, and while I'm sure it'll take time, I'm also sure they'll all get in it. It'll be difficult and it'll take time, but I'm positive it will happen.
Fall apart? Nah, it won't. It's going to face a kitten load of problems, difficulties and obstacles, but it's too late for it to fall apart. 
'Holding the keys' and 'potential manipulator' looks almost as if we're talking about the great Germany of Otto Von Bismarck  (and I won't say the Third Reich, because it's best not to be spoken). 
 
Regarding Greece, while what you said is certainly the prediction of some researchers and many tabloids ('cause newspapers love the potential drama) we cannot be certain on how much an eventual default of Greece will affect the Union, especially in light of the new freedom of maneuver of the ECB. That's one of the reasons the UE hasn't simply lent the money to Greece yet. And I highly doubt the eventual default of a country as small as Greece (in the sense of its net weight in the international economics) would cause a world-wide economic crisis. 'Small Countries' and 'Large Countries' can have a very different impact, but of course, that goes without saying.
 
The main problem is speculation and the disgusting role rating companies have in these matters (as those were the same companies that had the 'AAA' in 2007 on derivatives of companies that only days later would explode and start the 2007 economic crisis). Still we need to consider that this time there's the problem of the Chinese speculation bubble and there's also the fact that the ECB doesn't have some of the constraints of the years past.
 
P.s: I'm not much sure we could call India now a 'Third World Country', I'd say it's best to go with the acronym BRICS. But maybe that question would be better suited to reply by someone who studied economics?

In fact, as far as I am hearing, economic depression in Greece has given a boost to the tourism since the tour costs and flight rates have dropped drastically. Atleast, that's the case here for people immigrating to the EU.

Uhmm...BRICS sure goes well...I mean India sure does have a good GDP but as always, the population serves as a huge obstacle in the process. Having a huge GDP, as good as it sounds, the MAJOR contributor to the GDP is still the Primary sector which should be Secondary or Tertiary sectors to give it a mold of a developed economy. And on the other hand...huge GDP gets balanced out by the very low per capita income. Blame the population again! So you see....though its one of the stronger economies in the world as of yet, it still has to deal with some long term issues.
