Here's my theory how things will go down before Madara makes his arrival

Naruto is still in lala where Sasuke is concern. He says that he understand him but in honesty guys Naruto doesn't have a clue. He refuse to acknowledge that Sasuke has chose this path & is contend on staying on it. Trust me my friends, Sasuke will show how stupid Naruto really is and will show in brutal way.

Btw does anyone like psycho Sasuke? Personally, I think he's funny and we finally have some kinda humor from Sasuke.

Naruto has heard about Sasuke's change and repeatedly ingore it

Jiraiya: Forget Sasuke because he's on the road of darkness & there's nothing you do about it. Speaking from experience concerning Orochimaru. But Naruto decided to be fool!
Sai: Why waste time in defending an nukenin whom obviously don't care about neither Naruto nor Sakura. Naruto wanted to beat him up & later on express his bond he shares with Sasuke hindering Sai useless!
Orochimaru: Stating it is Sasuke's choice to come to him for power. Naruto reacts and goes to KB4 which hurted Sakura & nealry killed Jiraiya awhile back!
Sasuke: Has chosen the path of being an avenger, doesn't care what happens as long as he gets his way, and states that they are wasting time. Naruto arrogant responds how can he be Hokage if he can't save an friend!
Itachi: Save Konoha or Sasuke, warns that Sasuke is a easy pawn that can manage for all he needs is the right person (madara) to toll him through, forth seen Sasuke becoming evil & turn on Konoha. Naruto foolishly states that he's a better brother & can save both Konoha & Sasuke as Itachi calls him still-child!
Cloudnins: Sasuke has joined the Akatsuki and capture an fellow junchujki. Naruto informs them to invert their anger towards him instead of Sasuke and refuse to give them any info about him.
Raikage: Pathetic to defend an criminal. Naruto practically begs him not to kill but was ingore as he left with Kakashi & Yamato!
Madara: Restates Orochimaru saying it was Sasuke's choice especially learning the truth of Itachi & Uchiha masscare he could have follow Itachi's wish but chose vengence in the end.
Sakura: Like Jiraiya, persades him to forget Sasuke, informs him that the Sasuke they know is gone, & trying to get him to awake up Naruto surprisingly states in a way that Sasuke is his bff & continue to stay at his side.
Sai: Returns to state that action is taking place in Konoha because Sasuke is a threat, like Sakura he says to him to wake up & grow up, and follow the present not stuck in the past. Naruto is slowly coming out of denial as his picture of team 7 brakes!
Gaara: Reports events in the summit, Sasuke is international criminal thus insane villain, 7 declare to him to define friendship & what is takes to really be an kage. Naruto has an panic attack!

Even after all of that guys I still think Naruto doesn't get it. I think something will happen to either Kakashi and/or Sakura for Naruto open his eyes and see the truth. You know Jiraiya's death is ironic. While Naruto was chasing Sasuke, Jiraiya got killed. It took his death for Naruto to focus and become all badass as he was in part 1. He's too focus on the friend he lost that it has cost him the friends he has and I think it will happen again. Remember when Kakashi told Sakura that "Sasuke is far away but Naruto is close" that same logic and be use even more now with Naruto.

So what's your take?

Well... You sure changed my mind, this honestly shows how selfish Naruto is being, though I love the boy, he has to accept what Sasuke wants/is doing, and do what a true Hokage would do. Though, I give Naruto credit for never giving up ^^

I still can't believe it. Naruto lied to himself, and this is what he said to Sakura before "I hate people who lie to themselves" and what's Naruto doing? Exactly that. He stated and I quote "I'll decide when I see him" and what did he see? Sakura an inch away from her throat being slit. Sakura isn't the one lieing to herself, i'm sure after this she knows how she feels, Naruto is the one lieing to himself.

My point being that Naruto will have to lose either Kakashi or Sakura. He's trying to save someone whom doesn't want to be saved. Therefore he has wanted 3 yrs off nothing! Jiraiya trained him to prepare him to fight the Akatsuki not chasing Sasuke. Even Sakura had enough and how long the girl has been on his side? Naruto really need to examine himself and get his priorties in line.

Like many of you have said is true; Naruto & Sakura have switched places in part 2.

heh i had a thought that in that explosion sasuke diverted away and is now going after kakashi to strike him down. I mean he is being held down by naruto after all. This is just a prediction for 486
