How many players do we take anyway? I didn't see the rules earlier in the thread so is there a standard set of rules for fantasy football? I got the impression (from way outside the bubble) that the rules vary among leagues.

The only thing I know for certain is that defenses are taken as units. My experience was a QB 1 or 2 RB's. TE, a least 2 WR's, plus some backups for each Oh and a K.

It varies by league. Ours has 15 players on a team, so 15 rounds of drafting. You will start (according to the league's settings) 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF [team], and 6 bench spots. This can change if the Commish sees a reason to do so, such as starting a 'Flex' player (RB/WR, normally) or even Individual Defensive Players.

You can check out the scoring and settings here: http://football.fant...199785/settings

Honestly, I'd suggest trying out a few mock drafts to get a feel for how things work. 90 seconds may seem like a long time, but when your plan gets shot to heck because the person in front of you took the player you wanted it suddenly isn't. Get some practice in.

So does that mean you're not going to be nice to us noobs and draft the Detriot Lions defense or something?

Ahahahahaha no.

I'll leave Delhomme for you to draft, however. wink.gif

He plays for Cleveland, so I'm fine. If you'd have said Matt Moore then we'd be in business.

Bah sorry to do this again guys but...My dad might have gotten us some tickets to the Phins preseason game this saturday, at 7pm EST, which would mean I would miss the draft. Would you guys be fine with putting it back at the original date of the 21st? (I have discovered that I can get internet). I'm not completely sure I'll be going to the game yet but I'll have confirmation tomorrow. Just putting it out there. If nothing can be done then I suppose I can settle for the autodraft XD

Well I don't care either way but why are you even bothering going to a Pre-season game? To me all of those games are boring. I guess one good reason is to get to know the depth chart of certain teams if you're a fantasy junkie.

I can't get in. It's telling me that I'm not a member of the league.

Both Saturdays are about equal for me so no problem. It's probably even better because I'll have more time to read the rules and get a draft board together.

That would be better for me too, as long as a certain someone doesn't decide to come early. wink.gif

I think you need to expand the field to 14 so Nick can join.

I thought that Paradox was joining as well. If not, that's fine because I was flip-flopping about it anyway.

So you're aware...

My wife starting have contractions today. She is not in labor and were trying to hold it off because she's not supposed to be due for another month, but its always possible it'll happen so, if it does around the 21st, just have the computer draft for me. I still want to play.

I'd say have Jwolf0 do it, but I think he might draft me Delhomme in the first round. I like Jake, but he's no fantasy hero.

You should still join Nick, or are you The Generals?

Ohhh... well, I hope everything goes well with you and your wife. Hope you can draft for yourself, but if you can't we understand.

I can't draft for you, the autodraft would have to do it. (and if I did, I know better than taking Jake for ya. I'll exchange friendly trash-talk, but sabotaging another man's draft is verboten, d00d a_thumbs.gif ) You CAN, however, go and set up your draft list so that if you did have to autodraft you don't have to exclusively rely on what the CPU thinks is best.

EDUT: Not sure if Nick's accepted yet, haven't seen the league. But The Generals is NuclearRaven's team.

Congrats =) I'm due on August 27th and I've been having fakey contractions every day for a few weeks now. I think she's just teasing me because I'm so ready to have my body back to myself again! laugh.gif
