Which begs the question: why an all-new title, and not just a range of DLC? Ono says the changes are so extensive that they couldn't just be tacked on, so a disc release was necessary. Those crying "RIP OFF" should know that the game "won't be sold at full price", and that those owning both the original and Super will are in store for an as-yet-unspecified treat.

There's a Super Street Fighter IV coming out!?

I'm a little disappointed that it isn't DLC, but I would definitely consider buying this if the rumoured changes come to fruition:

Two Ultras for each character (note the suspicious "I" and "II" on the Ultra meter in the screenshots).
Seth to be adjusted so he's "harder but fairer". (I don't want him to be harder, but as long as he cuts out that damn teleport spam )
Eight extra characters.
Gameplay tweaks.

T.Hawk and Dee Jay aren't suprising additions, but I must say Dee Jay looks pretty fun. I'm not sure about Juri's design! It's good that there's now a Korean Tae-kwon-do fighter, but her top looks awful and I'm not sure about her space buns. Her fighting moves look a bit rough, but it's still early days.

I wonder who the remaining five characters will be? There's rumours of another new fighter called Hakan, an Arabic grappler. If that's true, then it leaves four returning fighters.

New openings and endings, the street fighter team are “man enough” to admit the quality wasn’t there the first time around, and has promised they will be improved.

Different or changed rival/pre-match dialog.

Along with new Ultras and tweaks, older characters will be getting new specials or normals.

As the final boss, people who hate Seth, will hate him even more now. He will be harder but not, “unfair hard.”

New stages will certainly be added, but certain older ones will receive new elements or details.

I was planning to buy SF4 within the next month and then I hear that a new addition is coming out. Well I guess I will buy this one instead. Still need to pick up a good arcade stick. -sigh- One of my favorite game series and I haven't picked it up yet.

The Bonus Stages are returning!

Along with new modes for online: Team Battle up to 4 against 4, Endless Battle which allows up to 8 Players against each other in a knock-out tournament and Replay Channel for watching other people's fights.

Actually, Endless Battle isn't a tournament, but more of a "winner stays" mode. There will be a tournament mode add-on after SSF4 is released. Maybe we can have another H&E tournament when that releases!

It's awesome to see the Bonus Stages returning.

I'm betting the game will be out Summer 2010, rather than spring. It just seems like development is going at a breakneck speed, and - considering the content they're planning to add - I'd much rather see them delay the game to ensure they get it right. Especially when you consider they're replacing all the anime cutscenes and adding even more for the Rival fights!

I'm putting my money on Guy. Metro City is from Final Fight, and that looks like Haggar's statue in the background. Judging from the focus strike arc, it looks like a kick.

If you look at the upper-right box in the scan of Guy, you can see him blocking a kunai. The box title even says "What is the meaning of this kunai!?"

No Dudley, sorry. But Ibuki is in, so there is hope of more SF3 characters! So far, we have 7 confirmed new/returning characters:

1. DeeJay (SSF2)
2. T.Hawk (SSF2)
3. Juri (Original)
4. Guy (Alpha)
5. Cody (Alpha)
6. Adon (Alpha)
7. Ibuki (SF3)

I think Capcom were hoping to include 8-10 new characters? If we have the rumoured original character (Hakan), then that could leave space for two more SF3 characters. Hopefully Makoto and Dudley.

I'm not sure about Cody's character design, somehow he doesn't seem to fit in with the SF4 style. Maybe he looks a bit too plain? But Guy and Adon look good, and hopefully Ibuki will look good too.

I'm definitely getting SSF4 on Day One. The great thing about my job is that I can pick up a new game on launch day when I finish my shift for the week - with staff discount - and I can just play it all weekend if I want to.

Since all characters will be unlocked from the start, I'm not sure who I'll choose as my first new one. I'll definitely choose Cammy on my first go, though, I'd like to see what changes have been made to her, if any (2nd Ultra, tweaked/new moves etc.).

So many new faces to choose from! The only one I don't really see myself playing is T.Hawk as I don't really go for power characters.

They're looking good so far. I especially like the ending of Adon's Ultra. Ouch!

In another snippet, IGN has hinted that the two Ultras are selectable from the character select screen, just like the Super Arts from SF3.

3 slots available on top while 1 is where the Alpha/Zero characters are place.... I have a feeling we will get one more Alpha character in (Then again I may be wrong because Juri is new and she's 2nd row 1st slot)... and we probably going to be disappointed if those 3 other aren't SFIII characters...

It sounds like an excellent character sheet for SSF4. Unfortunately, the game has been pushed back to April 2010 and beyond, but that should give them more time to balance the characters and iron out any bugs. It should be worth the wait!
