Liked the fights, but something still felt unfinished in the end..

Good ending, but could have been better

Azula going mad was crazy.

Oh yeah!

It was really difficult for me to watch her like that. Especially when she was so frustrated that she was spitting flames and chopping off her beautiful hair..

I actually got a chuckle out of that part. My brother and I were commenting on her collapse throughout and what may have caused it (hit the nail on the head with the whole Mai and Ty Lee thing), and we were consistently blown away by how she kept threatening and banishing everyone around her. My brother was particularly taken aback by her dismissal of the Dai Li, which was probably the most efficient and most loyal bodyguard she could ever hope to get.

Then we get to the part where she has to prepare herself for her own coronation because she doesn't have any servants left. I was like, "Did she just...threaten her hair? Haha!"


What really stuck me was - as I said earlier - her breakdown upon her eventual defeat at the hands of Katara. That was incredible. Extremely well-done by both the animators and Grey DeLisle, and very powerful.

I thught it was an awesome ending. One of my favorite scenes from the movie (out of many) was the iroh and Zuko confrontation. So sad and touching, I wanted to cry. I still wish we got to see Zuko's mom, though and all that happened to her. Hard to believe the show is actually over though. I guess I would feel that way for any other show I loved, though.

Obviously theres going to be some follow up about Zuko's mom, come on people, nickelodeon wouldn't miss out on extra cash. Since this is the only show besides spongebob anyone talks about =X Im not complaining I want more.

Azula braking down just showed how paranoid shes always been. But she didn't just go crazy, she went insane, with all the orders she gave out in that short span of her being the fire lord. But it worked sooooo well.

It's really not up to Nickelodeon. Bryan and Mike have fulfilled their contractual obligations and don't have to make any more episodes if they don't want to. Given that they've already said they won't, it's safe to say that's it for these characters and their story.


They might very well do a spin-off like the rumors have been saying, but it won't have anything to do with the main characters from this series, who'll just have cameo roles if they appear at all.

That season finale was... just... wow. There are not enough awesome words to describe it.
The kiss at the end was perfect!
Toph's metal bending was jaw dropping! OMG!

And the avatar state! Damn!
When Aang turned the rock into bullets and obliterated the surface...

The only thing I would have liked better is if there was some death involved. But I didn't expect it, it is Nick after all.
I'm just hoping that somebody comes out with a remake. Complete with blood, and the Firelord's death.

I'm watching it again tomorrow!

Edit:I've heard they're going to do "mini shows" to resolve some unfinished Avatar business. Such as Zuko's question about his mom.
Its not an actual season. Just a few epilogue episodes to completely wrap things up.

Which would help resolve that issue, because that was pretty much the only thing in the whole finale that I didn't really like...them making Zuko ask about his mom, like 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE SERIES ENDED FOREVER D8

And I was like, why did they even bother posing that question XD

But, if they were always planning to do little 'minisodes', to kind of wrap some unresolved things up, like also what ever happened with Azula, I can understand now why they made Zuko ask that question when he did

Though truthfully, I would prefer if they just left it all as it is right now, because the finale was just so perfect in all of it's epic glory, and unless these minisodes can top that, I'm not sure that I really want to see them possibly mess up that awesome ending XD

Think of it this way, Shauna, the series is a nice BIG sundae, and these minisodes are a cherry put ever so delicately on top. Sure, the sundae could do without the cherry, and it may mess with perfection, but in the end, you could just take the cherry right off the top and enjoy the sundae you expected from the beginning.

lol, nice comparison. It actually seems that way too. The finale was so great that it could with or without minisodes.

My source for this info is pretty reliable. He always knows Avatar spoilers before they're released. A few weeks before the third season started, he saw the first three episodes of Book 3. He has friends in high places.
